These cars are *very* fast. Too fast for a child under 12- 14 years old to control. I think a lot these reviews don't understand what 30mph really looks like. Your 6yr old will break this. I bought 4 different Bezgar trucks (HM161, HM162, HM163, & HP161) for myself and my 3 boys for Christmas (2022). The HP161 is the fastest and most modern, however, it has plastic components in the driveline where the HP161S is an all metal driveline & brushless motor. This truck still does wheelies just fine though. These trucks can take a real beating, and as we've enjoyed them parts have failed. I find myself slowly turning this base model in to the upgraded version 1 parts order at a time. The Bezgar site has a good deal on them and as much fun as this truck is, I wish I bought the "S" for the extra $60 or $70. The HM163 would be my next pick as it has a full metal driveline & 1k mAh battery, but still a brushed motor. HM161 / HM162 are essentially all plastic, 750mAh battery, and the same frame with different bodies. Although upgradeable, you could start off higher up the ladder for a similar price with the HP161 or HM163. Hope this helps! Have fun!

Ease on the throttle and don't do rolling reverse to forward for a wheelies if you want the gears to last.

The Remote is a little on the cheep side, which hasn't affected performance. So far the unit has preformed well. Time will tell about the endurance. The wheele bar didn't fit well so I didn't use it.

My son loves this RC truck. It’s not huge but it is mighty. It flies around my yard but seems very durable. I had a small issue and contacted the company and they sent me a replacement part ASAP. Great customer service definitely would like more products from this company

This little truck has plenty of power for a brushed motor. The only thing that needs attention are the shocks. They aren’t oil filled and have no piston in them which makes for a bouncy ride and lots of darting off left or right on hardly rough terrain. I did look on Bezgar’s site and they do offer and aluminum oil filled shock upgrade for purchase

Got this to chase the dog around in the back yard. We have about 4-6" grass so that was a concern. Not a problem for this truck. Absolutely tears through the terrain. Very sturdy too as I've run into paving stones and trees. Great for someone looking to get into RC and not wanting to dump a bunch of cash.
