I’m not sure where to start on this review so I’ll dive in and I hope to help as many people reading this review looking for parts or upgrades with the research I’ve put in 🙂 This is a good running car stock but I decided I would upgrade to brushless this is super easy ,, the esc and motor and pinion from the hm124 bezgar model is direct fit with no modification to do this swap though you will need to swap to a 3 wire servo as existing 5 wire servo will not work part number Gdool PX9200-51 . You can also use hitec hs-85mg this doesn’t fit factory oem but will install but slightly smaller with more kg power for turning power. Next upgrade is nut and bolt axle from existing screw , this changes the outside cups to metal at the dogbone since differential cups are metal from factory- part 12604RTMT ,,, this is for redcat racing kt12 but can confirm is direct fit. Batteries have been upgraded to moli cell 18650 2800 mah inr battery these batteries will need modded I had to solder pool a button tip with just solder to + side of battery. These are rated for 35 amp discharge and some fantastic batteries bar nun drive time has increased to 25-30 mins of full ripping at probably 40+ mph or 45 mins or longer of just casual cruising and speed burst at random . Last and final part number is for the fan unit for either the 2845 or 390 or 390 l motor this is pretty much direct fit and will fit brushless or brushed esc two wire accessory same as light connection , to make this work I had to lightly Dremel one edge of the motor mount so the heat sync could make proper seating on motor can . Final conclusion I would have rated this at 5 but I had issue with the shock which still hasn’t been addressed as of yet still usable but broken they should really revise to different shock furthermore , this is another upgrade I have planned but was waiting for some response on the behalf . ... show more

At a recent birthday party my 8 year old son got to play with a hobbyist RC car at the park. He wasn't that good controlling it but I could see he was having fun kicking up dust and terrorizing the squirrels. I wanted to get him his own RC car but didn't know what to get him with so many choices available. I was originally thinking to get him a Losi or Traxxas but but they were a bit more expensive and if it turned out he didn't like that much, it would be an expensive dust collector. People suggest you get a well known brand in case a part breaks so you could by replacements. You'll also be able to find more customizable parts to personalize the car. I did a lot of research regarding the Bezgar lineup by reading a lot of reviews and also watching a lot of youtube videos. I narrowed my decision down to the Bezgar 7. Its a newer model (at least when I purchased it) and like other Bezgar cars, they have some parts in case something breaks. One thing to note is that there seems to be one company making this car under several different brands. They come with different looking bodies and accessories, but the main car is the same. I went with Bezgar since many people commented on warranty and service. Inside the box there's a warranty card where you can register your car and and actual person responds. So here are the pros and cons about this car. PROS: - The price is perfect for an entry level hobbyist car. I paid $96 for the car and 2 additional batteries. - I driven this car with my son for the past few weeks and it's quite durable. The body and chassis has multiple scratches from crashes and flips, but nothing has broken so far. - The remote has a throttle control knob that lets you set the maximum speed of the car. This is great since the top speed is to fast for my son to control and we've been playing with the car with the knob only turned about 1/3 of the max. This leaves a lot of room to improve as his skill gets better. - I really like the 1:16 size of the car. It's about 10 inches long and takes up minimal space in the trunk. - The car comes with a USB charger for the batteries. It works and it simple enough my son can use it. - I'm quite impressed with the performance of the car. I cranked it up to full speed and it goes fast. - The battery life for such a small battery was pretty good. I got about 20-25 minutes of playing time from each battery. CONS: - Although nothing has broke, I wish there were a few more metal parts on the car. - The car comes with regular spring shocks and it's a little bouncy. Oil filled shocks are sold for this car at a reasonable price. - The controller feels a bit cheap, but it works and I guess that's how the price of the car stays low. - The included battery is only 700mAh while the extra batteries are 1000mAh. I wish they just include a 1000mAh battery to keep things consistant. I'd definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for an inexpensive option to get into the hobby. I'm planning on getting a second one soon so I can race with my son, but for now it's more practice for both of us and just timed races around our driveway. I'd like to add that I was a bit hesitant to see so many positive reviews. My initial thought was there were a lot of fake reviews but I now believe this is just a great product and most of the reviews are real. Lastly I want to say that I purchased this car with my own hard earned cash and this is a genuine review. ... show more
