I admit, I am a pillow snob. When I but a new pillow it is with the expectations that it will provide at least a full year of good, supportive, comfortable sleep. I have purchased this pillow in the past and it lasted about 3 years and when I went to replace it with a new one, I could not find this exact model again. I looked for a replacement "gel fiber" pillow and tried a Beautyrest from Walmart that lasted about a month, then a $80 pillow from Kohl s that was good but began to compress and lose it's support after 3 months. I went on a mission to find this pillow again and this time I was successful. This luxurious pillow has the support I need for side and back sleeping plus the moldibility I want when on my stomach. And, because it is gel fiber, it is always cool. Overall, not just a wonderful pillow, it is a perfect pillow and gives me a perfects night sleep at a price less than half of comparable name brand pillows.     • Super pillows - soft but supportive
My search for decent pillows spans decades. I finally found some that are what I'd call really nice in these Beyond Down Gel Fiber Side Sleeper Pillows & the price is fantastic!!! Had these about 7 months now - wanted to be sure they weren't going to break down like others we've had. We bought some that claimed to be gel fiber and within 2 weeks that other brand had degenerated into bunches of little lumps inside the pillow. For the price of these even if they only lasted 6 months, I'd be happy but I'm extremely pleased to report that after 7 months they are like brand new. They stay fluffy, and supportive yet you can squish them to get more support where you'd like it and they bounce right back without being 'tough'. These are the only pillows I've had in years that I don't end up fighting with all night. I've tried just about all types out there - feather, down, memory foam, polyfil & gel fiber. I have to say it is this brand, Beyond Down, that is superior based on my expierence with other gel fiber pillows. I can highly recommend these - I do sleep on my side, which is what these are supposed to be for - I don't know how well they'd work for a back sleeper but I do think that because of the gussets they would not work for a stomach sleeper, they'd just be too thick. Other reviewers complained about these being too fluffy to fit in their pillowcases. We do not have that problem. Our sheets are the Renaissance Collection 600-Thread-Count Woven Cotton Stripe Queen Sheet Set, White . This link is for the queen sized but ours are actually King. I'd guess the fits would be similar but wanted to be clear. We have 4 sets of those sheets and no issues with the pillowcases fitting the pillows. Really pleased with these pillows. Very tempted to buy more for when these show wear......storage is the only thing stopping me!! ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this pillow! I would compare it to another brand I bought at BBB for around $200 in regards to softness and comfort! It’s the perfect pillow for any type of sleeper... belly, side, and back. My only complaint is that it’s got the typical flaws you will find with any stuffed pillow. It will eventually lose its shape and become a little lumpy after a few months. I’ve never found a stuffed pillow that won’t eventually lose its shape. Fortunately, I’ve put this pillow in the wash a few times and after the dryer it fluffs up nicely, but it’s still not the same as it was brand new. My only warning is that to make sure your washer and dryer can handle it, because the pillow gets very heavy with water and can unbalance the machine. ... show more

    • Perfect side sleep pillow
How have I lived this long without a side-sleeping pillow!? Holy cow! I love this pillow! The panel on the sides of the pillow that gives it its "box" shape is amazing! I got this because I do sleep on my side and because of hip issues (OA) I need to sleep with a pillow between my knees. I'd been using a body pillow but that was just too long (and getting pretty flat) so I decided to try this pillow. I couldn't be happier! It's about 3" thick which is perfect for between my knees! I can't speak to what it's like beneath your head but I can tell you that the filling is on the firm side but not too firm and because it's filled with "pieces" of gel foam, it's pliable - not solid. Hope that makes sense. Anyhoo, I'd definitely recommend as a pillow for between your knees! ... show more

I bought this pillow because I sleep on my back and on my side, and I'd been waking up with chronic neck pain in the mornings due to lack of neck support. I noticed that reviews for this pillow were generally good, so I decided to try it out. I noticed right away how soft the pillow was. And there's nothing wrong with soft, I just thought it was unusual for a pillow that claimed to have good neck support to be so soft and plushy. I gave it a chance though, and for the first few days, it was a great pillow. I didn't wake up with any neck pain and my neck generally felt supported through the night. But soon I noticed my head was starting to dent the pillow a lot, and I'd wake up in the morning with no neck support and a lot of pain. So I tried fluffing it and flipping it around, which worked for another couple nights, but then I'd wake up to find the same problem. And after about a week of refluffing, the pillow stopped holding support altogether, and within a single night, I'd go to sleep with sufficient neck support and then wake up with the pillow dented and no neck support at all. Point being, if you're a side sleeper and you're looking for a pillow with good support, keep looking. This one was a waste of money and now I'm back to square one trying to find a pillow. And as a college student with a limited budget, it'll be awhile before I can save for another good one. ... show more
