    • Good, not worth the money and some things feel half-arsed
unmatched for its weight, very comfortable, pretty design and incredibly small the default head strap is bad, like will loosen under very little pressure, i had to saftey pin it so it would stay put. the tracking on the headset is noticeably bad, but not irredeemable. i believe a 3rd basestation would improve this, but for a 1300$ headset its a bit steep to need *even* more basestations. the eye tracking is a bit goofy, the sweet spot for your eyes can be far off of where the camera is looking from and that can mess with the eye tracking worst of all in my opinion is the glare, im told its just a symptom of the lenses being absolutely minuscule, but its still infuriating to have my perfect oled blacks be turned grey by glare. no default audio is annoying, but bluetooth headphones are perfectly good. all around a MASSIVE improvement over my quest 2, but i dont think its worth 1300$. if you want lightweight over convenience its worth it, but not for the average user. (just get the steam frame) ... show more

Upgraded from Meta Quest 3. Worked out of the box, and thanks to the DP cable and direct PC connectivity = no more compression or issues with wireless streaming. I mostly use VR for sim racing and flight sim. OLED is really REALLY nice like when doing night flights. Haven't tried OLED VR since the Oculus Rift. Optics felt as clear as the MQ3, and pretty similar FOV. Resolution increase is very obvious when reading gauges or seeing down the track. For sim, some DD motors can interfere with the headset tracking. Emailed customer support and got really useful advice on how to fix the interference with ferrite chokes. Ordered April 7 night, delivered to California in less than 2 days. I had read about shipping delays last year, and waited until it is shipping quickly. The weight and size is surprising, even smaller than I expected. Drove the Beyond for more than 20 hours already and very happy with it. Will still use the Quest 3 for wireless casual stuff on the couch, and keep the Bigscreen Beyond permanently setup with my sim rig.
