For those wondering if this headband will work for the DT880 edition given the metal parts protruding from the headphone sliders, it will! Not without great difficulty though, you'll need patience to disassemble, replace the headband, and reassemble the headphones. A warning too, the fit is a bit tight and thus makes reassembly + adjusting the headphones after reassembly more difficult. With this in mind, make sure the headphones are adjusted to where you'd like them before reassembly. Other than that, it works great and is like new. I took the time to replace the pads too since it's been almost 3 years since I last replaced them. Hope this review helps. ... show more

I used this to replace the decaying plastic headband on my 7 year old DT-880 black special edition headphones. Mine do not have any apparent way to unscrew the headband assembly, so I just pulled out the old one, snapped on the new one, and then painstakingly stuffed the ends of the headband into the headphones. I genuinely thought it would not fit, but in the end it fits perfectly, looks great, and will clearly hold up better than the stock headband. ... show more

Oh lord they are difficult to put them on... and you have to disassembly the whole headphone, thankfully the headphone (my DT990) is assembled by hand so it's not hard to remove the parts, you just need to be careful with the slim cable that goes to the sides and make sure it doesn't get in the middle when assembling them again. Once on they are the best! Too comfy, 1000000 times better than stocks ... show more
