This is the first time I've ever bought or used paint pens so I have no comparison to other types or brands. I'm obsessed with these and so far painted 2 journal covers, 3 canvases and dot painted a few rocks. They don't show any sign of running out of paint yet. The colors are vivid, they don't run and the mediums I've used I haven't had any smearing nor have I had long dry times. The tips are perfect for dot painting. I read another review about colors not being consistent and so far I haven't had that issue. These work perfect every use including the metallic colors. I was originally looking for actual "paint" markers like the ones with ball inside that you shake. However I stumbled upon these because of more color selection and gave them a try. They work good and the dual option of fine or wide tip was very useful. I use them for outlining on paintings and my only complain is they tend to dry quick with long marker strokes. Shorter and multiple marker strokes works better without temporarily drying out. They're more like a felt tip marker but they don't smear which is a good thing. These paint pens are amazing. You don't have to shake them and press them repeatedly to get them to work. They're super smooth. No splatter or bleeding. Especially for line work and highlighting. I have "high end" expensive paint pens and they don't even compare to these. I'm so glad I found these.

These pens are the best. I doodle a lot. A great bullet tip lets you lay on wider swatches of color. No shaking to get them started. They are ready when you open them and they last quite a long time. I use them a lot. Finally the white and grey ran dry. I use on cardstock mainly, but have touched up plastic and metal toy cars with them. I like the fine tip for details. It stays pointed. The silver and gold didn't interest me, but when grey ran out I tried using the silver. Now I love it. The new packaging has clear shields on the thick end. This makes it easier to grab and use it without accidentally opening the wrong end. Also this is a great price. ... show more

From what I can tell so far these are great quality. I don't know how long they last but they put down the paint well. They don't have drops come out or too much come out because they aren't the press down to get more paint out kind.

I got zeyar paint markers first. They do click when you shake them. Not sure if that makes it better somehow. These just feel like normal markers but they do work much better! After using the other brand for 10min, the paint stop coming out easily. It's so splotchy, see last image. These work perfectly all the time. They also smudge much easier, which was good for me. The other ones, as soon as you put it down it's down. That's good and bad. I haven't noticed any hand smuding with these yet. I don't draw much, I'm not great. I like pouring but I wish I could do both ... show more
