  • Great - out of the box. The jury is out.
Style: Caspian Pro 91"
I have had a load of inflatable dinghies for sailboat tenders. West Marine charges $1k plus with tax for an 8.6. Not bad as quality is good and backed by the brand. I pumped this up in my living room. Looks good so far but with some wear and tare who knows? Mostly the quality seems good although shoddily packed so surface damage to the chamber surface from creasing the material in shipping. Also, I tightened all the nuts and screws which were loose. You have to knows these are being served quicker than a burger at In And Out so some DIY and common sense needed. But $423! Less than half of the WM version albeit one foot shorter. Occasional trips to shore or weekends fishing I presume this will be money well spent. If it craps out soon I will writer another review. Common prejudice aside, most Chinese goods are of the highest quality. They just don't pay their labor so it's mega cheap. Thus price does not equal crap. ... show more

  • Good Boat BUT Buyer Beware! - CERTIFICAT OF ORIGIN IS USELESS!
Style: Caspian Pro 91"
The boat is great but it's small and really just a 1 person boat. BUT - YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TROUBLE REGISTERING IT AT THE DMV. I took all the right paperwork, took a half day off, waited an hour only to be told the Certificate of Origin numbers (Starting with CN-) cannot be entered in the system AND DO NOT MATCH THE HULL #. In Florida hull numbers are 11 digits. So if I took off CN-, it still won't get registered because there are 12 #'s. The last 4 digits of the #'s on the boat were F222. They should be F22. Note to the seller: Get this fixed or you will be bombarded with messages about this. This is a MAJOR problem. Now I have to take another day off of work. Not happy. ... show more

  • Single person vessel. Worth while to invest in something a touch bigger.
Style: Caspian Pro 91"
You might be able to get 2 people on this. I wouldn't recommend it though if you need to carry auxilary stuff (coolers, fishing boxes, etc.). I was just able to manage carrying a small gas tank or whatever else. Maximum weight is between 330-350 pounds, something like that, it's listed on the boat. I'm a big guy just under 280 pounds, about 5 foot 6 inches. I wouldn't bring another person on here with me, personally, but if you were a lighter than me, like a normal 180 pound person, maybe a second person would make sense then. With the provided inflation pump, it was a pain in the neck to inflate the boat and the floor board. I would recommend an electric air pump rather than the hand pump provided, but by all means, keep the hand pump on board with you at all times just in case! My inflation method involved over-inflating the raft by about .5-1 psi over the max recommended psi, because once you disconnect the air pump, it deflates VERY quickly. If you can't cap the air valve within under one second after disconnecting your pumping device, it will deflate very quickly, and you will see yourself re-pumping the boat again. For the smaller 91 inch model, you will need to inflate each sides of the boat seperately. First side is easier than the second side... The floor board needs to be inflated as well, but on my first go, the floor board didn't properly inflate, so I ran the boat on my first go with an unstable floor board because I just got fed up. I'd almost recommend a plywood floor board if you could fit it properly, because once you fill the floor board with air and want to cap it, it deflates before you can even cap it properly... Boat calls for a 3hp MAX engine on it if you decide to use a motor on it. But "sprung" for a LEADALLWAY 4 hp 4 stroke motor engine on this, and I wouldn't recommend anything LESS, it's not fast, but it gets you around. Just make sure the motor is secured as tightly as possible, I didn't have any problems connecting it to the transom, although I had concerns at first. Ran it an hour on my first go and the motor stayed on the boat fine. The boat kept up well with its inflation. Once I got used to the motor, I didn't feel concerned at all. But the boat is very small. Once you get comfortable in the boat, you're probably going to remain in whatever position your body feels comfortable in for the majority of the ride. Doesn't feel very safe to get up and try to stand in the boat. If you're more of a lightweight than me, you might have a better experience. I might leave a second review here after getting an electric pump. Inflating the boat seems to be the most frustrating part of the experience as it takes a bit of effort to pump the boat up to proper specs... and if you don't cap it quickly after inflating, you're just going to be pumping the boat up again and again until you seal the thing properly and quickly after removing the pump. ... show more

  • Great boat!
Style: Caspian Pro 91"
This is a starter boat for those that want to get out in the water. It is small so fits one person. Just make sure you get a good battery or motor on it!

  • Whoa! Great Product!
Unpacked the inflatable today. I was very impressed with the quality. Almost thought it was heavy duty Hypalon. Very sturdy transom. Air valves worked as expected. Push and turn one direction for open, that is to inflate with an electric type pump without the special twist connector, turn the other way to inflate with the pump provided (no air lost when pump hose removed). I was concerned about the weight of the boat being too heavy to move myself (70 years old), but turned out not to be a problem. It's heavy, but not too heavy to carry 50 yards if I have to. Nice storage bag, easy to fold boat into it. Fits nicely in my 2017 Prius along with a Honda 5 hp motor. No trailer needed. I purchased this boat because of the inflatable keel, very creative design and I am sure will improve the handling over a flat-bottom inflatable. I will update after sea trial. UPDATE Spent two days on the lake with the boat this past week and enjoyed every minute. Hand pump worked better than expected, but took approximately 100 pumps per side. (Get a battery operated inflator, save yourself the grief!) Inflatable floor supports my 175 lbs. effortlessly standing up. Durable aluminum seat. Oars work well. Due to the inflatable keel, the front of the boat is a bit higher than most inflatables. Took 1 foot chop real well with no water coming over the bow. Using a 5hp Honda motor, the boat got up on a plane at 1/2 throttle. Boat came with a 4 panel wrap which makes the folded boat easy to transport (not forcing it into a bag). The best inflatable you will find for the money. ... show more
