I bought these for my one-year-old daughter who just started walking, and they’ve been such a sweet and smart choice. The ocean-themed print is even cuter in person—playful, soft colors and little sea creatures she loves pointing to. The shoes are super lightweight and flexible, which is exactly what I want for her little feet as she learns balance. The soft canvas is gentle against her skin, and the elastic makes them easy to slip on, but they stay on surprisingly well—even with all the crawling and wobbling. Pros: •Beautiful, gender-neutral ocean print •Lightweight and soft—ideal for early walkers •Easy on/off for busy parents •Non-slip sole feels safe on hardwood floors Cons: •They run a bit wide, so may not be ideal for very narrow feet •Not machine washable (I spot-cleaned easily though) For the price, especially on sale, they’re a total steal.     • If between sizes, size up
I've had these for less than a day but I love my Toms. First off: sizing. I am usually a 7 or 7.5 in most shoes. Both tend to fit me comfortably (usually). I ordered a 7 in these, since I figured I will not usually be wearing socks (and therefore don't need extra room, since these can fit snug), or if I do, I would be wearing thin liners. However, the shoes are very snug. If you are also in between sizes, I suggest going with the larger. Still, I was able to wiggle the fabric around my feet so that they fit okay, and I'm hoping that with a few wears, the fabric will give just enough for me to be able to slip these on and off with ease. These shoes are narrow in a particular spot for me. The top middle part of my foot is high (despite the fact that I have low arches) and I find that that is where the most tension is when I wear these shoes. However, I have that problem with most shoes I try on, so if you have a similar shaped foot as I do, expect to break these in a little bit. Other than that, the footbed provides some amount of arch support and cushioning, which I highly appreciate. I am unable to wear flats for an extended amount of time because the lack of arch support causes knee pain. Although I love wearing sneakers, I wanted casual comfortable shoes that wouldn't make me look like a child (I look really young and wearing sneakers doesn't help!). These Toms are casual, comfortable, and somewhat more age appropriate for me. Finally, I was worried that the Toms I received might be fake. But after doing a quick Google search and some comparisons, I'm glad to know that my Toms are authentic. I ordered the olive green canvas Toms from "California Deals" via this page, and they were not the former olive green style pictured but the updated olive green Toms. This means they do NOT have a brown & green camouflage lining and beige sole as shown, the actual shoes have animals on the lining (olive green & white) and ivory soles. The animal lining and ivory soles are the same shoes currently available on the official TOMS website. They are also identical to the lining style and sole color of the ASH shoes on this page. I was a bit disappointed because I specifically ordered these via Amazon hoping they would be identical to those pictured and I prefer the look of darker, beige-brown soles instead of ivory. While this detail is not a make or break deal for me, it may be for others so I wanted to put out a warning. These are my 3rd pair of Toms and I like them a lot, they are comfy and will complement my warm weather wardrobe. However, I must say that in the future I will probably stick with premium Toms; my gold glitters and blue suedes, though slightly more expensive, just seem like such a better value for the money to me than canvas. I notice some slight manufacturing flaws in the canvas shoe, for example one fits just slightly different than the other and I know it's not my foot because my other 2 pairs fit beautifully with no such flaws. Still, the canvas are cute and comfortable shoes. I found the canvas and suede run slightly larger than the glitter Toms do, although it's partly a matter of personal fit preference. ... show more

Update: I took the shoes on a short vacation during which we leisurely walked 1-2 miles a day. They stayed very comfortable and are still in very good condition. Original: Just received them. I wear 9.5w, and they are perfect. Roomy and comfortable. Color is like in the picture. I love the neutral color. It goes with everything casual for the summer. I wish Toms made more shoes in wide. I love these shoes and have them in more than one color. They're very comfortable right away and require no breaking in. The soles are very long lasting and the whole shoe is very durable. They are true to size and fit well.
