Spent a long time looking for lights, had an idea of what I wanted/needed. Low ceilings necessitated low profile, and house wiring is on the older side meaning any features like dimming would not be possible on the switch side without additional wiring. Other features I wanted were warm light, good diffusion (no spot lights for me), and hopefully the ability to control the brightness if possible. On the design side, outside of being low profile i wanted something round to match the roof sky light. This light was one of the very few that matched. Got it installed and it worked for two or so months before refusing to turn on. I ran through troubleshooting with Amazon (also excellent) before contacting BestLuz. They sent a replacement directly which took a few weeks with minimal fuss, which was fantastic and made sense to me since I already walked through Amazon's customer service. I'm back up and running. Customer service is defintely one of my fears with the amount of companies on Amazon, but can say this was excellent all together. It would be a 5 star if I didn't have an issue (I was out a light in a room that has only one light for around a month, between testing on my own side, going through the process, and shipping), but they certainly did everything they could do to fix it. First off it was delivered very quickly. Comes with everything you need to install. The hardest part was figuring out how to unscrew the lens from the fixture. Just apply some palm pressure to the back of the fixture and twist. I intend to install it in a walk in closet in our room addition. For now, I tested it while doing some other electrical work (don't try this unless you absolutely know what you are doing) and both the light and the remote control work great. I really like the full featured adjustments including dimmer, timer and color temperature. Definitely considering purchasing additional units. ... show more

So far this is a great light fixture, very bright to dimming, I got the larger size. Installed in my courtyard and exactly what I needed. The only issue was that the first one sent to me never arrived, apparently damaged in shipment. That wasn't a real problem, they gave me a credit and I re-ordered same light. When I received it it was easy to see how the first light was damaged, there was no protective packaging at all, it came in the very weak and soft box you would get if you picked it up in a store off the shelf and that box was sort of smashed and totally opened. Luckily all of the parts were still in the "box", for lack of a better description, and nothing was damaged. So I put it up, crossed my fingers, and was glad that it worked perfectly. The item is definitely NOT the issue, it is the packaging, or lack thereof for me. If I needed another, I would definitely order again. ... show more

we bought 2 sizes (12 &16 in.) for two different rooms and were pleasantly surprised upon installation by the quality of this fixture, it installed very easily via a base that goes on the electric box (and has a nice add-on feature: the fixture can be hooked up on the base while installing), and the remote control has a large number of brightness and color variation settings (wonder why it's not in the listing) and some other settings, night light, timer etc. i have one suggestion though; the installation instructions could've been clearer. i struggled a bit to figure out how to remove the base from the fixture (turning it counter-clockwise) ... show more
