Love the socket tool for your drill, that comes with this set! Makes it so much easier to screw them in. Now the rings themselves are not as heavyweight as I would have liked. They do fine as long as what you are screwing into is not too terribly hard.

I ordered the BESTEEL 60 Pcs Black Electric Fence Insulators, because we are in the middle of several big fence projects. We live on a working ranch, and have a lot of experience with all kinds of fencing. Right now we are preparing some new pasture areas with electric fence. These arrived just in time to incorporate them into a short run near our house. The shaft on the driver socket is larger than a standard impact driver bit, so I put it on my cordless 3/8 inch drill. I’m sure there is an adapter to be able to use an impact driver, but the drill worked ok too. I think with an impact driver you can rotate the insulators to the upright position more easily. In the past we have always just used a medium sized screwdriver to install this kind of insulator. I suggest having one of those on hand to straighten them by hand as well. The driver socket that is included in this pack works great and saves time. An extra bonus is that the driver socket also fits some of our older insulators that we had previously purchased. These insulators are used on ends, corners and short standoffs on wood posts. I find absolutely nothing wrong with these, and think they are easy to install, will perform well, and last a long time. These kinds of insulators usually come in a bag of 25, and can run between $9 and $15 per bag, so getting 60 of these with the driver for $19 is a good deal. I highly recommend these. ... show more

This is a review of a free product: I had a chance to do fence work today and used these for the first time. I liked that they have a drill adapter to screw them in. And with the sharp points to the screw and a little bit of pressure these took off and went in like a dream. Once in it was easy enough to thread the electric fence wire through the large opening and when pulling tension they did not come loose. All and all, I think these are a value for the money when you compare them to farm store corner rings that you have to screw in and use a rod to tighten down. ... show more

This brand has a longer and stronger screw than another brand I’ve reviewed, no broken screws with these. These screw-in-insulators are plenty strong and I wouldn’t expect more. In hard wood the plastic insulator did strip and or spin on the screw. In aged hard wood posts you will likely need to drill a pilot hole first. I use these where trees and posts fall in line with the electric fence and they work great. ... show more
