I’m an electrician, I tried these based on their fair price point but I can say after installing over a dozen of them that they work but are not the best design. They came packaged very well and have a nice glossy finish but the flaw with these plates is that there is no room for error. Your switches/ receptacles must be perfectly flush to the drywall around the box. I actually slightly bent the yokes of the receptacles to make them stick out a little bit further off the wall, if not then your switches/receptacles will look recessed into the plate and it won’t be a good look. The second con to these plates is removing them. The tabs that lock the outer plate on to the inner plate are not accessible once the plate it on and you must pry very hard to remove the plate which is not quite so easy. Also if your drywall around your device isn’t flat then these plates will not sit flush and there may be a noticeable gap. I’ve used Eaton, Leviton, and Lutron screwless plates that are much easier to work with so in this instance it comes down to “you get what you pay for”. ... show more
