Features

  • [Powerful Cutting Ability] Dual voltage 110/220V good for home, workshop and hardware shop use. Professional performance 1/2 clean cuts on Iron, Steel aluminum and copper with Inverter IGBT Technology. Very powerful for DIY and heavy duty project. The Maximum cutting thickness is recommended to 16mm@35A 110V 50PSI; 30mm@75A 220V 70PSI. Dry and compressed air is required. Power breaker up to 60A@110V 35A; Up to 40A@220V 50A.
  • [Pilot Arc]: Bestarc plasma cutter with the pilot arc function. It is a high-frequency non-touch arc starting mode. The torch head does not need to touch the metal plate, making it effective on rusted, painted, or dirty metal surfaces. Adjustable PA function for extended pilot arc duration, reduced energy consumption in non-cutting work, reduced electrode burning, and extended consumables cutting life.
  • [Air Sensor Technology]: The air sensor built in machine displays air pressure on front panel of the machine. Users can adjust the air pressure manually through the air regulator (air pressure cannot be automatically adjusted). Air filter is installed in the machine, equipped with a quick-connect 1/4 NPT air connector, ready for use right out of the box. Once connected to an air compressor, the recommended air pressure should be within 65 PSI, with a flow rate of 250 liters per minute. Note: The compressor needs to be purchased separately.
  • [LED Screen Display]: The screen centrally displays parameters such as air pressure, voltage, and current, allowing users to understand the equipment status in real-time and adjust operations in a timely manner, improving operational efficiency. If the plasma cutter cannot work, the screen comes with an error code, making it easy to find out the problems.
  • [2T/4T/PA/PT Function]: Post time adjustable from 315s to cool the torch. Adjust the cooling time of the torch head to extend the service life of consumables. We recommend a cooling time of 4-8 seconds. The PA function allows pilot arc timing adjustment up to 15s; longer times are ideal for mesh cutting, shorter times help extend consumable life. 2T/4T automatic cutting release your finger. 2T is a semi-automatic cutting control, and 4T is an automatic cutting control.

  • Cuts Great
So far, it's performing well. I used it to cut 1/4" stainless and it was fast, clean, and as expected. Easy to setup. I just connected the power, air hose, and machine connections, along with the grounding clamp, and I was cutting fast. I had a Hypertherm Powermax 30xp that was DOA, so I picked this up to fill in on my projects while I get a replacement and this Bestarc works extremely well. ... show more

  • Purchase the extended warranty, other than that well worth the money Purchase the extended warranty, other than that well worth the money
Style: BTC500DP 8GEN 110/220
Folowing up from my last review. Standup company. I was a week outside of the manufacturer's standard 30 day warranty. Contacted bestarc and sent them the same pictures I posted here. Without any questions they sent me a new unit. If this one goes out, I'll just buy a new one and purchase the extended warranty next time. For the weekend hobbiest this unit is more than enough. Wish I could give this 5 stars. When it worked it worked well. Especially for the price. After just 45 days of using it one of the relays soldered into the PCB took a crap and shorted out. All I have predominantly used this machine for is 18-20 gauge sheet steel so its not like I was pulling much power. I didnt purchase an extended warranty, thats my fault. Is what it is. I contacted bestarc directly to see if there is anything they'd be willing to do to help out so if anything comes of it ill update this review accordingly. Pictures to show the issue mentioned. ... show more

  • Great little unit - see my video of unit in use. I was cutting within an hour of unboxing.
This unit has the pilot arc feature, a must in my view. Other low cost units do not have as pilot arc and require a "scratch start" actually touching clean metal to start the arc. Also this unit is 110 and 220VAC compatible. Compact and lightweight, easy to setup. I was cutting within an hour of unboxing. I would suggest, buy the consumables when you buy the unit. It only comes with 2 spare tips. Also the air hose with the unit is cheap and doesn't have the quick connect fittings. I suggest buy a 10ft compressor hose as well. Otherwise, see the video of me cutting. Works great. ... show more

  • For an inexpensive entry level plasma cutter, this is pretty great.
For an inexpensive entry level plasma cutter, this is pretty great. Now I will say, it is great as far as it's cutting capabilities and ease of use (and boy do I use it). There are a few reasons for 4 starts and not 5 though. 1. The handle part feels a bit cheap. Still, if you are just a small shop who needs to cut metal on occasion or a weekend warrior like myself, it'll do. If you are a shop doing a lot of metal fabrication, maybe spend a few bucks more on something more durable. 2. It claims to work with a small pancake compressor. I set this up immediately and yes, it does work, however a small pancake compressor is only good for small cuts with breaks in-between for the compressor to refill. I found that to maintain 45 PSI for what I was cutting, I has to set the compressor to 60 PSI and it ran out pretty fast. I changed to my slightly bigger 3 gal Harbor Freight compressor and it was waaaayyy better with the ability to cut for longer periods at a time. Just think of how long each blast will be and make sure you have a compressor that can keep up. For small holes and cuts, the pancake is probably ok. For larger cuts or long use cuts, bigger is better. 3. It can run on 110, but... you know. So I hooked it up to a regular 110 outlet and it worked great for light gauge metal. I worked my way up and by the time I got to lawnmower blades, it started having some issues keeping up. I switched to my 220 outlet and BAM!!!... it cut like a hot plasma knife through butter. Overall, know the application you will be using it for and make sure you have a setup that can accommodate. As long as you have the right power and air for the job you are doing, I have not had any issues with this thing keeping up. If you have been thinking of playing with plasma cutting but are on a budget and don't want to worry about gases and stuff, this is a great option. ... show more

  • Much better than Oxy-acetylene! Unless you’re cutting 1” thick material
Style: BTC500DP 7Gen 110/220
This is a great non-touch plasma torch. The design makes it easy to set up all cutting parameters. It’s lightweight, with all external connections done without tools. It’s equipped with an air dryer, which should extend the torch expendable parts life. All controls are on the front panel, easily set and read, except for on/off switch. It can be flipped on or off from the front, once you know it’s located. I’ve cut metal with for years but I’m a first time plasma user. I quickly cut various thickness and conditions of steel, and found it intuitive how to set up the pressure and current. There’s a chart with recommendations, but I found thinner metal below 3/8” could be cut cleanly and quickly with the same setting. All you need to do is cut at the best rate, and that’s learned quickly within the first inch of cutting. I did find it more difficult to punch a hole through thicker metal with plasma than Oxy-acetylene (3/8” and thicker), but the thinner metal was as easy as Oxy-acetylene. I’m sure when I developed the proper technique, the thicker gauge metal will punch easily. I felt so confident after 15 minutes of playing with my new torch, I started and finished two projects I’d been waiting to do because my acetylene bottle was empty. With plasma; all you need is an air compressor, and electricity. And this unit will work on 110 or 220, and both have a 50% duty cycle. For my two projects I was cutting with 220, and it cut both 7/16 and 16 gauge quickly and cleanly by only changing air pressure and current. With Oxy-acetylene I would have had to change tips and played with torch settings and pressures as well. Plasma is so much easier, with no expense of gas, and bulk of the torch and hoses. I’ll never go back! If anyone that reads this wants to buy an Oxy-acetylene system lock-stock-and barrel call me;-). ... show more

  • Amazed what this thing can do at such a low price! Amazed what this thing can do at such a low price!
Style: BTC500DP 7Gen 110/220
Let me start by saying I bought this with my.own money. About 20 years ago, I worked in a welding fabrication shop. They had a plasma cutter back then. It cost probably 10 to 20 times what this machine cost and it didn't work nearly as good as this bestarc. Technology has improved tremendously in 20 years. Obviously. I had no idea that such a quality machine could be bought for so little money nowadays. I am no longer a professional fabricator, an amateur at best nowadays. Even so, I was able to put this cutter together and start cutting in minutes. Just hook up the lines and power and air. I didn't even have to mess with the settings much. If it didn't cut I just turned up the air and amps and voila, it cut great. I bought this for one job of installing floor pans in an old jeep and I am really glad I did. It was literally like taking a magic pencil and drawing a cut line on the pan and it just falling out. It was much easier than any other method of cutting. It made trimming the new pan easy as well. If I needed a hole, forget the drill, I just started the arc up and plunged cut a hole. The floor pans where very thin, like 20 gauge so they were easy for this machine to cut. I tried some 1/4 inch plate and had great results as well with a 220v power supply. I wish I would have bought one of these years ago and gave my oxy-acetalyne torch away. This plasma cutter is better in every way as long as you have power. I love it, buy it, you won't regret it. Oh and I didn't even mess one tip up while using it on this job. That says a lot to it design and durability. ... show more

  • Internal Air Leaks
I bought this for my shop after watching a YouTube video review and reading reviews on Amazon, good looking unit and well packed but when I hooked air to it, the unit had a serious internal air leak that caused it not to hold a steady pressure which caused erratic cuts because it couldn't regulate the air pressure. With that said it did work, just not correctly. After this I called Amazon because it wouldn't give me the option to simply exchange it because there was not another available, so they had me contact the seller and it went downhill from there. The seller responded telling me to disassemble the unit and try to figure it out myself and then they would send me parts!!!! I told them I did not buy a brand new plasma cutter to repair it myself right out of the box and who was paying me to do (THEIR) warranty work? If I am working on the plasma cutter, I am not working on customer work which pays my bills and requested them to please just send me out a new unit and I could return that unit which would require them supplying me a return shipping label. They responded back asking me to please just take it apart (told me it was easier than I think) which is irrelevant to the situation and no option for a replacement, only that I could return it to Amazon for a refund. In-between those two exchanges I was mad and took it apart, found a bad airline quick connector and replaced it and also once that was fixed, I could hear the clear bowl leaking on the water Seperator, so I unscrewed it and sealed it properly which fixed the issues. Needless to say, I will never buy another product from this company no matter how well the product works after I repaired it. You simply do not buy brand new products to have issues right out of the box then have the company tell you to repair it yourself! In the end after I spent my own time to repair it and replaced a part myself on a brand-new piece of equipment, the plasma cutter does work very well. Customer service and QC obviously are both lacking. UPDATE: Since my original review they have contacted me several times basically harassing me wanting proof it ever had an issue in the first place and wanting proof I even contacted Amazon and was told they couldn't exchange it, only return it for a refund etc. basically calling me a liar at every point. I told them I was reporting them to Amazon and DO NOT contact me again, they didn't listen and still continued. This is what you can expect from this company if you need customer service. I own a business and I order many thousands of dollars a year from Amazon, have no reason to lie about anything and was only asking for a replacement unit and return this one, nothing more, nothing less. Because of my remark about who was going to pay me to do (their warranty work) they offered me a 20.00 refund and I told them to keep it because they evidently needed it more than I did, after I told them I was reporting them to Amazon they then refunded me 30.00 AFTER telling them I didn't want it. Sadly, if it was given out of doing the right thing in the first place, I would be singing them praises but it wasn't, it was only an attempt to cover their poor customer service AFTER the fact. ... show more

  • Great little cutter
Style: BTC500DP 7Gen 110/220
If you need to fabricate metal parts, and/or make shaped cuts in metal, a plasma cutter is the way to go. So useful in the shop. Once you use one, you’ll appreciate how well this tool works for you. This unit arrived well packaged, and shipped quick. Expected it by UPS, but it came by mail on a Saturday! Researched it well before purchase, and reviews and demos were spot on. Would recommend you do the same, as the demos of the unit’s features really show its capabilities. Easy set up, well designed interface that gets you set and cutting quickly. Cables a decent length for mobility around the workpiece Replaced a 20+ year old commercial unit damaged in a flood that cost 10X the price, and this new one blows it away with ease and speed. Plus, half the weight, so easy to move around.. So far have only cut 1/8” (3mm) material, but it went like a hot knife through “butta”! Some of the demos show it cutting thicker material very well, but haven’t needed to myself. It’s performance on my thinner material matched the demos of the same, so expect it is capable as advertised. Seems well made, but will it last 20 years? Only time will tell. So far, very happy with the purchase, met all my expectations and feel it is a very good value for the price. Really wish there was a N/A on tech support rating, as so far have not needed to use it. (A good thing!) Supplied instructions were all that were needed. I recommend you buy the consumables kit, as tips wear quickly due to the non-contact arc start up. They aren’t expensive, and the convenience and ease of the cut starts make the wear well worth it. So much better than buying cutting wheels or gas for a cut off torch, not to mention so much cleaner, quieter and safer. It does require a decent compressor (~4 cfm), and if running it on 110 vac, a 20 amp circuit to work its best, but it will work with less as long as you lower the current and cut slower, with stops to allow the compressor to refill the tank between cuts. That airflow is critical for the cuts and post cut cool down of the torch. I was able to bring it over to a buddy’s place and run the torch on a 15 amp circuit and a pancake compressor by cutting in short spurts. Not as pretty cuts, but still got the job done in decent time! Overall; a great unit. You know you want one! ... show more
