Overview: - Well Packaged - Great Quality - Great Directions - Takes two people 4-5 hours to install - Be prepared to remove molding behind the bed - Fits full 12 1/2 " mattress with ease. - Sturdy Details: This is a very nice wall Bed. The instructions are very clear and well documented. On each page it also includes sequence numbers so that you put it together in the right order. Everything was very well packaged. When constructing everything keep in mind that you will have to remove any molding that is behind the wall bed and secure the top to the wall into the studs so you will need a stud finder. You could probably get away with dry wall anchors but given the weight of the whole unit I would not recommend it. Try not installing it in a corner because most likely the wall will not be straight and it will not leave you any room for adjusting. You will notice in the video that mine is in a corner and it caused it to not be perfectly straight which makes one side rub just barely which is something I'm going to fix but is not at all any issue the bed itself. As you can see from the video and pictures we placed this bed in a relatively small room which makes it perfect to use the room for another purpose while also having the spare bed just in case. You will also noticed that the bed does not stay against the frame, this is mostly because the mattress that we are using is mostly foam and not very ridged. I'm going to attach some nylon straps to it to keep it in place but haven't done so yet. ... show more

You know you'd think a trucking company sending our 50 trucks a day would have some experience delivering to 55+ larger communities. I explained no semi's, they are not allowed in that they don't fit. I explained I'm 72 with a bad back. Would the driver please deliver to my door. FIRST ATTEMPT: "Be home between 12noon and 5PM. No call and no show from driver. I assume he was in a semi and they would not let him in. ATTEMPT #2: I called, they did not, to see if shipment was going out. "Oh yes sir, you are the first delivery on the truck. And it's a smaller box truck to ensure entry. Be home 11:30 AM to 5PM" I called at 3:30PM asking where my murphy bed might be. NO CALL! NO SHOW! Customer service called me that evening stating she was going to give the driver a good talking to. ATTEMPT #3 Guy arrives in the designated time...ready...IN A SEMI!!! At lease he called. I had to meet him at a local parking lot to off load three boxes of pressed woods...200#, 100# and 50#. OMG so heavy. These had to set on groCery carts...only thing with wheels around here with wheels get them to my unit. Three old men with plenty of ailments doing this task. THANK YOU SO MUCH ... show more

    • Effective and Attractive Space-Saver

This bed arrived in less than a week of ordering, and needed to be delivered via freight. I live in a single-family home, so getting the boxes to the room we needed them was not too difficult, though we did remove the pieces from the boxes one at a time to carry. If someone were to purchase this for an apartment building, condo, etc. getting these up the stairs or elevator might be very challenging, as the pieces are large and heavy. Some of the other reviews cite how difficult it was to assemble this bed. I couldn't disagree more. My wife did help move and hold some things, but it was mostly just a one-person job. It does take a few hours, split over a couple of days, but keep in mind you are building a large, heavy piece of furniture that is folding a bed up and not allowing it to fall down. Pretty remarkable really. The end result is a very effective, cost-efficient bed that is well worth the time to assemble. We felt that we gained another whole room back in our house. ... show more

I was looking for an above average Murphy Bed that was reasonably priced, this wasn't quite it. I expected a little better build quality (think IKEA, but maybe a notch down). It does seem sturdy though once its affixed to the walls. Finish of the wood is very simple high density particle board and is skinned with slightly rough laminate, think maybe slightly below average cabinet grade finish. My biggest issue with this product is the instructions. If you've ever put any piece of IKEA furniture you'll wish this was IKEA. Steps, diagrams, quality of descriptions of how to actually assemble this bed are very sub-par. While I never had to disassemble anything more than a step or two the order in which things are ordered in the steps seem very unorganized. I suppose it is worth what I paid for it, but I was expecting slightly less assembly with this piece of furniture. It is a solid 12 hours of direction reading and product assembly, make sure you don't have any other plans for the weekend. ... show more

I live in a two-bedroom condo. When Covid struck, I was desperate for space-saving options to bring more functionality to my small home. Now that the guest room doesn't have a bed taking it up, it's both a home office and gym. The idea is so simple I can't believe I hadn't thought of it before, and the space I've gained has truly helped me stay sane during Covid quarantines. It works exactly as described and is very sturdy. The only con is its difficulty to assemble; I ended up paying a contractor $400 to safely and expertly mount it, so take that into account when purchasing.
