I waited until I had slept on this topper for a bit before posting a review. First, it was and still is a little over 4 inches thick. I measured with a ruler when I first got it two months ago and again today. It is VERY comfortable! It is on the soft side, but not too soft for me because my firm mattress is beneath it. I had read in another review that if you're a large person, you may still have some pressure points, and though I am definitely a large person, I have no problems with this. The only issue I have is that it takes some finagling to figure out the most comfortable way to sit on it if you, like I, do a lot of things on your bed. I live in a studio apartment, so my bed is not just my bed -- it's also my desk and my dining table and my sofa. The most important part, though, is that my back pain is gone. I had another topper, a 2-inch gel/foam thing, that rid me of my lower back pain for a while, but after five months I started hurting again. I'm thinking this one might do better. It just feels more durable than the other one did. Well worth the price, imo. Someday I'll spend $1,000 on a bed, but until I at a point to do that, this topper is more than adequate. UPDATED: I got this topper 15 months ago. It’s still comfy, hasn’t flattened and have given me a lot of extra time with my crappy old mattress. Don’t plan on buying another topper or mattress for quite a while yet. UPDATED AGAIN: It’s been almost 2 years at this point, & this topper has give my crappy IKEA mattress a lot of extra life. Still super comfy, still no back pain. VERY swell worth it. ... show more

I can't stress enough how comfortable this mattress topper is. I suffer from sciatica and also have bad hips. Before I purchased this topper, I would toss and turn throughout the night, waking up frequently. The difference with this mattress topper is amazing, and my only regret is that I waited so long to try it. If you buy it, make sure to give it time to fully inflate before using it. Mine took a couple days to rise fully to the 4" height. The removable cover is a really nice touch. For reference, I am 6 feet tall and weigh 215 pounds. If you are larger than me, I would go with a thicker mattress, 5" or 6" at least. Get a topper with the thickest memory foam that you can. ... show more

Bought in 2016 after sleeping on a friend’s bed who had this. Never had so many compliments on my bed. It went on an IKEA mattress so certainly wasn’t about the mattress. Sadly got rid of it when I moved in with my husband but haven’t stopped thinking about it for 4 years so I just bought it again. You will not regret this purchase! Size: Full Style: 4 Inch
Slight odor dissipated after airing out a few days. Just as advertised. Folded in box and wrinkles came out completely. Just as advertised. Memory foam is about 1 1/2" thick, slightly green color (to tell which side up), bottom foam is 2 1/2" thick, cream color, and layers are glued together. They're coming apart slightly at some edges, so I'll keep an eye on it to see if they separate more as time goes by. We're using as a pair of dog beds. I cut them in half so they're about 3'x4' - big enough for our 100+ pound golden retriever. When I first cut it, I covered it with a flannel sheet temporarily until my wife gets a real cover sewn for it. I know dogs' sense of smell is thousands of times better than humans, but he went right to it and plopped down with that pleasure groan of his. He didn't depress the foam as much as an egg crate bed that cost as much as this full topper. We'll get 2 beds out of this, though it's looking like the first will last a very long time. He loves his bed! We carry it from the family room to the bedroom & back every day. Really good investment for this old dog's arthritic hips. Update 10/15 We've been fostering other golden retrievers for 1 1/2 years, so both beds are in use daily. Every single dog we've fostered or dog-sat for a week or so has loved these beds. We spent about $100 for a smaller egg-crate foam bed for a previous dog, which compressed permanently in the middle. These beds do NOT compress AT ALL with daily use. One of them is slightly separating where layers are glued together, but that doesn't affect performance. This memory foam is the BEST for large, arthritic dogs. Update Dec 2017 Beds retain shape and performance like new. Recently we bought a queen topper for the guest room and it performs great to remove lumps and sags in the old mattress. I've been using it all year myself and have been sleeping great. I'm going to order a third of this brand for my sister for a gift of sleep. Great value! Update Nov 2019 Both dog beds are still in use, though need to be replaced because we only used sheets for covers, so the foam absorbs any liquids that get on it (rain, wet fur, drool, licking a foot infection, ear infection etc) I'll buy 2 more of these, to make dog beds from one and top a guest room bed with the other.
