I purchased a very firm mattress knowing if i need more cushion i could add a topper . you can always make a mattress softer but not firmer .     • Gave me the extra cushion I needed for my sciatic pain

I bought this as an experiment to determine if I needed a softer bed in order to recover from a horrible months long struggle with sciatic pain. It worked. It gave me just enough relief to get a solid night's sleep. I'm a side sleeper and my pain triggers were getting a little worse. I got to a point where I wasn't sleeping very good at all. I had to sleep in a very specific position with a leg pillow in order to fall asleep. I no longer struggle to get comfortable enough to sleep and I think the better sleep is helping me recover. I'm not there yet but getting a little better every day. I wouldn't recommend this to a back or stomach sleeper. I can kinda feel it throwing my back out of alignment when laying on my back. But everyone is different. So maybe it'll work for u. I'm light and boney (5'11" and only 160lbs). I got the full bed size one and it fit perfectly. Also got the 1.5" one. I agree w/those that think this is a firmer memory foam. For me, I think it's for the better. I had a memory foam topper when my sciatic pain started and threw it out because I thought it was the main culprit. I wish I hadn't but from memory, this feels firmer. And also not as hot. I bought this for my sons dorm room bed. Of course I had to lay on it when I dropped him off to make sure it was gonna be comfy and cozy for him. It was super soft and very comfortable. He seems to be very happy and getting good sleep on it as well.

This mattress topper is the best especially for the price! This is my second one because I upgraded from a full to a queen. It lasted me 2 years in college and it’s super comfortable. I have chronic back pain and this mattress topper is perfect because its soft but you don’t sink into the middle. I definitely recommend the 1.5 inch instead of the 3 inch because if you sleep next to someone you both will sink into the middle with the 3 inch.
