I've had this for over a year now for my guest pull out couch. A sick animal kept me on that pull out couch for a few nights while he recovered. In spite of being woken up by an unhappy cat, the foam topper gave me so much better sleep than my bedroom mattress. I original bought this for the couch bed, as it is a bear to sleep on, as you feel every rod and support system through the cheap cushions. I am now SOLD on this product and have continued to sleep on this couch for over a week now, as I have never slept this good in quite some time. This weekend I intend on moving this topper upstairs on my queen bed and the guests will have to wait on another purchase to sleep like this. I thought I would hate the memory foam, as I always enjoyed sleeping on a firm mattress, on top of the bed and not sinking in, but on this I find i do not toss and turn, nor wake up constantly trying to get comfortable. This top was added to my temper pedic due to my hip issues as of late, as I'm only able to sleep on one side. That may sound insane, adding this to a T.P., but it is only for times when my hip can't take it. I'm getting 2-3 hrs of sleep a night, sleeping in recliners - you guys know the story. The only bad thing I can report is this foam's incredibly strong, offensive smell. it is the typical "foam" smell, but 5-6X worse. I have somewhat touchy allergies, which have gotten better w/ age, but this thing is UNREAL strong and has shown no sign of "slowing"! ... show more

I struggled with back pain and needed a extra firm mattress. I like the ridgity but the mattress felt too hard to sleep on in all but one position for me. I began looking into topper solutions that gave the mattress more give while not giving so much as to cause me backpain. This topper softened the mattress just enough to allow me to have great sleep. Compared to a Tempur-pedic 3" it replaces, I don't sink into it (I feel more on top of it), and it doesn't require a cooling cover. I placed mine right beneath my bed sheet on top of a quilted mattress cover. I topped one of Ikeas cheapest mattresses which was causing my husband and I back pain (new mattress) . So glad I did because this topper has completely improved our sleep and BACK PAIN NO MORE! not sure that the lavender scent does much because I have a protector and a sheet on it so it gets lost. I did smell it upon unpacking but that was the only time. Definitely recommend! It's a peice of foam , nice color and soft but it bunches up . This doesn't feel as thick as my old yellow foam topper with the same measurement, it may be because of the egg crate as my old one was not created. I may get another kind as I'd return if I didn't sleep on it and I still may ask if I can. It may be ok if you weigh little and do not suffer with physical pain but if U hurt I'd get another kind ... show more

My bf and I had a deal. We'd keep his queen mattress (and get rid of my twin set) if I got to ouck out a mattress topper because I cannot sleep on his mattress. It's way too firm. This couldn't come soon enough. I definitely got scared taking it out of the box. Surely there was no amount of airing out that could make the topper look like what I had bought online. But I was patient and trusted the process, and sure enough, 48 hours later it looked exactly like the photo. It's been absolutely comfortable and saved my sleep 100%. I have one complaint, and it's kind of major all things considered. I chose this topper because of the lavender infusion. If that hadn't been important, I easily would have chosen a different, cheaper topper. So I was incredibly disappointed that my topper had absolutely no lavender scent, despite having read many reviews even saying the scent was too strong. I would have rather had too much than none at all. Again, it was the whole point in me choosing this topper over others, so I am very upset that it didn't deliver on that front. ... show more

I got the 4 inch variety and I like it a lot so far. I'm using a pillow-padded topper to protect it and a bottom sheet on top of that. It's extremely soft, but has a certain firmness at the same time. I would highly recommend the 4 inch version.
