These stairs are a nice idea and I like the color/material. However, it did not work for my 15 year old puggle. He is too heavy (30 lbs) and the stairs are too narrow and they are made of foam material so he sinks into them. It is hard on his aging legs/muscles. It was easier for him to go up, but he could not use them to go down. The length of his body, the narrowness of the steps, and the softness of the steps made it too uncomfortable for him. I have a 17 year old cat that is in his final stages of life. I picked up 2 sets of these stairs in order to help him climb onto my bed and onto the sofa. They have been AMAZING. I cannot stress enough that these stairs have been hands down the BEST purchase I have ever made on Amazon. Pros: -Very Sturdy -Lightweight and easy to move -Machine Washable Covers -Soft foam that doesn't hurt if you accidently run into it during the night -Works for Large Cats (My boy was 16 lbs when I bought these. My dog Benny hurt his back and could not easily jump up on furniture or beds for months. As he loves to look out the front window to await my return from random tasks these provided a means for him to get up onto the bed that sits inside that window without a strain on his back. Now that Benny's back has recovered he continues to use these to help take it easy and keep from suffering injury again. He is smart enough to know to keep using them, even if he was hesitant at first. My Shih tzu was struggling to jump on our bed and would sometimes miss and fall, and if you have a little dog you know how scary that is since they can get hurt in the blink of an eye because they are so brave. We decided to get these stairs for him and have no regrets! First, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to put these together. I was expecting it to be a mess and to take forever but it arrived basically put together! Took maybe 2 mins to finish putting together (basically just zipping it up). Also, they are super light weight but durable enough my 11 pounder doesn’t cause them to squish. My Shih tzu immediately fell in love with these and has no issues going up or down them. We got them for next to the bed but he requests that I move them around the house to wherever I plan on sitting which isn’t a problem since they weigh almost nothing. These have made him a new level of spoiled. It’s really cute and I was surprised. The only thing I will add is I have really slippery traction-less floors and I had to place a cabinet liner grippy thing under the set of stairs so they don’t move around on my floor. This product is great! It handles my 60lb Pitboxer very well. The only reasons for 4 stars is that it slides on hardwood floors. I solved this by putting adhesive Velcro in all four corners and one in the middle… seems to do the job. I’m able to do this because where it sits it won’t be moving much but for cleaning. My cat is in love with these stairs, therefore I am also in love with them. She sits on them, she sleeps on them, she goes up and down them just for fun...they even match my couch almost perfectly. I don't know how, but this is somehow the best thing I've purchased off Amazon. My kitty is getting older, almost 13 now, and when we got a new couch, it was a lot higher than our last one.
