I wanted a 'safe' way to safeguard my firearms in the home, and this rifle safe is a great way to go. The price was fair, shipping was fast and free. The safe itself is good quality, although it is more of a strong lockbox than a traditional 'safe'. It comes with 4 bolts for securing to a wall or floor, 2 keys for a small internal lockbox and 2 keys for the door if you forget the code (or if the batteries die). Four batteries are included but I replaced them with name brand AA's. Overall height is excellent, although the foam barrel holders are located a bit high (my Mossberg 930 with 18.5" barrel was too short to lock into the inserts. I have the buttstock resting on a 100ct box of shells and it works nicely. Same issue with my Marlin Model 60. I will look into the possiblity of relocating the foam block). The bottom of the safe has a thin piece of felt, ditto for the bottom of the small lockbox. Mine arrived with only small nick or two in the paint, no dents or other flaws. Shipping was FedEx and I'm sure the nicks were from their handling. The keypad works nicely, but it beeps after every key entry (seems to be a common thread among all these safes). My overall impression is great, quick access to my firearms without worrying about others (like my children) being able to get their hands on them.

I like this thing. Let me explain why: 1. Came pre-assembled, very minor paint scratches on a few corners. 2. I could not get it open, finally put the key in and used some pliers to assist in turning the knob.. Success, it has worked fine every time after. 3. Handle was a bear at first but has worked flawlessly every time after. 4. Interior space is good for 3 long guns, any more and you're cramming them in. Little storage locker on top also locks and can fit a couple handguns or other stuff. 5. It is a locker, not a safe. It's not fire or waterproof. It is not theft proof. It does lock securely and is a complete deterrent to children and someone in a hurry. 6. It's heavy so your average crack head is not going to carry it away with the added weight of weapons. It would be at least 200lbs. I secured it to both the floor with included bolts and the wall with 1\4" lag bolts and washers from the Depot. 7. There is a very annoying and loud speaker. It's quickly disabled by removing the door back panel, grabbing the little black round speaker with some pliers and carefully twisting it off. Summary: if you want to keep the bang bangs out of little hands or quick thieves this is the ticket. If you need a fort Knox style, you're gonna have to spend more money. Hope this helps.

The best feature of this safe is the price. It does the trick for keeping guns locked away and inaccessible from wandering children. Please know you are getting what you pay for! Don't expect a Steelwater-grade safe when you're spending a couple hundred bucks. The metal is very thin and with a saws-all you could get into it pretty quick. You must secure this safe using the pre-drilled holes because with the door open it wants to fall forward. Whoever is responsible for shipping this should really consider spending a few extra bucks on more sturdy packaging. Mine arrived falling out of the box and had some dings (see pics). Also the bag of parts was smashed so batteries and a couple of the screws were not usable. Again, I'm giving it 4 stars because it meets my needs 100% and is priced great.

Definitely a good little gun locker. Solid enough to keep the kids out. Light weight enough to shuffle it across the floor by yourself. Fits my 5 rifles, including my 49 inch long shotgun. You won't find anything this good for the price. I wish it had better options for door organizers though. Not sure what to do with the ones on there and I'd love a magazine holder for my hexmags. Or even the capability to remove what's on there and put a door hanger on. That's the only reason I'd consider less than 5 stars, but for the price, it's solid.

I received it today and wasn't impressed by the quality but setting up code worked fine. The top 4 corners were damaged then from the inside the door wasn't welded properly (which will not alternate to open and close the door but you can see the poor quality) and the battery holder had a missing piece (the piece that you close that part in the end). The reason why I'm not giving less than 3 stars is because it is functioning properly and it was easy to set up the code. I will update this post in 6 months or so.

The safe arrived damaged. It was dropped on the top corner, which dented it and chipped the paint. I sent an email to the seller through Amazon on March 23, 2017 and Best Choice Products responded the same day and requested I send them a photo. I sent the photo directly to them by email the next day, but they never responded. I sent a follow-up email on April 7, 2017, but no response. I sent another follow-up email on April 17, 2017 and again, no response. The safe itself is decent. The keypad and everything works just fine and there's enough room for all my rifles. Even with the extra lock box on the inside, it's still tall enough to fit my long barrel (49 inches) rifle. I don't like how loose the door is when it's locked. There's quite a bit of play between the door and the frame. I also don't like that the keypad makes noise when you push the buttons. I should have made another choice in buying a safe because this was definitely NOT the best choice.

The safe is well made and functions well. I don't believe this safe is made for protecting all your valuables from robbery and Theft. It will definitely slow down any one from stealing it. But, it is possible for someone to yank this from your house with a few tools in a little time. I bought this safe to keep my guns locked up and away from my children. It is absolutely perfect for doing that! I talked mine away in my walk in closet and it fits perfect without taking too much space. I highly recommend bolting this to the floor so it does not tip over when being handled. It can fall over easily if you do not bolt this to the floor. It comes with everything you need but a power drill and proper bit to get it secured. So far, I am very happy with his purchase and the nice accessories it comes with.
