I really enjoy this chair. It is a firmer type of recliner which is much better for my back. It wasn't difficult to assemble. I was able to put it together alone in about 10 minutes or less. It swivels smoothly. However, there is a bit of a thump that happens whilst rocking and I cannot locate the source. I also agree that the footrest can be a bit difficult to lock back down at times. However, I like the "Massage" feature and the heat will be nice for my Rheumatoid Arthritis in the winter. Overall, I am quite pleased with this chair. ... show more

Hard to get foot rest back down in locked position Once up the foot rest is hard to lock in where it stays up. If didn't have to pay shipping back I would have sent it back

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2017: Forget everything I wrote before. It's been a while since we got this sofa chair recliner, and everyone keeps fighting to sit in it. We really need to buy another one already. It's so comfortable (despite my original complaints) and the heating/vibrating function still works just fine. I can't in good conscience not give them a 5 stars, when it's honestly my favorite, most comfy lazy recliner. It still looks and feels brand new, even after all this time of continued use daily. Come home tired, shower, and sit in this chair with the vibration and heating, it's like heaven. Just get it. ------OLD REVIEW----- Honestly, I was really happy with this sofa at first, but it's been less than a month, and already it's falling apart. PROS: 1) Massager works ok for the price 2) The heat worked once so far, but barely got warm in the lower back area. 3) It's kind of comfortable. CONS 1) The heat doesn't really work consistently, so don't rely on that feature at all. 2) You have to use your legs to close the chair, and it's a work out! My 63 yr old grandma tried it and could barely get up. It's hard. 3) The sides of the chair are starting to break outward, so I give this chair 6 months max. 4) Pieces of metal in the buttox and feet area starting to poke at me already, which is why I use a pillow now. Again, it's been only a month. 5) A piece of particle board fell from the feet area. You'll need to replace the cheap screws. 6) MADE IN CHINA. WARNING: I decided to get a second one for my 13 yr old daughter, since it'll be super comfortable for her, since she's tiny, and she always wants what I have. I ordered a second chair, but this company sent me a foot massager instead. I'm trying to send it back, despite having Amazon Prime, they want me to pay for return shipping. It's a 3rd party vendor, so if anything goes wrong, or you don't like the chair, YOU will have to pay for return shipping. Can you imagine how much it'll cost you to send the chair back? It'll be at least $100 YOU will have to pay. They want me to pay to return the foot massager, which my local business center said would cost me around $25. Just be aware of this. I'll update this rating to let you guys know what happened next in my purchase experience after I emailed the company that sells them. UPDATE: I kept complaining about having to pay for shipping to return the wrong item they sent, until they emailed me a prepaid return FedEx shipping label. Finally, I sent it back and got a full refund from Amazon. Thanks Amazon! I decided not to buy another cheap sofa from this company, because the local furniture stores have better ones for the same price, and this experience was too annoying for me. ... show more

I love this chair. It’s the easiest thing to assemble, and super comfortable. I’ve had it for around 3 months now. Sometimes I have to make an errand, and when I come back, my wife is in my chair. It’s a King’s chair, not a Queen’s chair (lol). Anyway, it’s like having Prime seats at the AMC Theater. Place for 2 drinks, and a little side pocket, where it’s good to out your remotes and or reading material. The 2 cons are, the massage isn’t strong enough for me, and putting the foot rest down is a little difficult. You actually have to use a little leg muscle, and push down, until it clicks back into place. If you’re buying this, because the massage is mostly important for you, then don’t buy. This is one of the best chairs I've ever owned. I'm a disabled Veteran and have severe neck and back issues from an accident I had in service. I'm not sure what was wrong with other chairs in other reviews, but the massage feature on my chair is just right. It helps with my issues and feels very comfortable. I haven't had a chance to try the heat yet, but if there's any problems, I'll update my review. The chair was easy to put together and took all of 5 min. Well worth the money. ... show more

    • ISSUES WITH FOOTREST- TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I ordered this recliner after having full hip replacement surgery. First, the delivery company they hired left it downstairs in the carport instead of bringing it upstairs to the door.. Next, after asking a cpl of friends to put it together, we find it takes a pro football player to close the footrest. Seriously I had to have my husband sit in front of the recliner and shove the footrest close with all his might and both his feet before the footrest would close. The footrest is so tight and difficult, it would not snap into place. Twice, we thought it was closed as I tried to get up, only to be clipped in the legs both times and knocked over. Fortunately, was o hurt either time, but I can see someone elderly getting seriously hurt. I contacted their *customer service* which is really an outsourced call center and they were useless. Told me to haul the 200lb chair to my nearest FedEx and they would accept a return. Tried to negotiate with them and said, give me a discount or partial refund so I can get a handyman over to look at it and see what could be done, and they said nah; offered me a comical 15% refund which amounted to about $45 and I was looking at about $125 or so service call. BTW, there are over 18 BAD reviews specifically about the footrest, so it's a known issue.
