NOT a fan of this mat. I bought this mat because my roommate owns the same one that he bought a few years ago and I love using it. Immediately after getting this in the mail I knew it was not the same quality as my roommates mat. The inner material is a very hard foam that’s not comfortable for doing certain positions like planks. The outer material is cheaper and more loose than the mat I compared it to and my roommate even tested it out and agreed that it was not the same mat he purchased and nowhere near as good of quality. This may work for some, but definitely not for me after being able to compare it to a better “identical” product side by side. Would not recommend this unless you’re looking for the stiffest foam mat possible. ... show more

I am comfortable using this for ab workouts (leg lifts, sideways planks, etc.) It wipes down easy, not too heavy to carry, an is thick enough to cushion my 215 lbs. This is a great gym mat for children that are under 4'. It is thick and solid. There were no weird smells. The stitching looks great also. It is lightweight and easy to carry. I purchased the Gold Gym interlocking mats to go under it so it would get scratched up and to also provide extra coverage around the tri-fold mat. I imagine it would also be great for nap times or under children's sleeping bags. I bought this for a 9 year old to practice simple tumbling and cartwheels. It was not wide enough nor long enough. However, I will not ding the product or seller for that because I should have done better measurements before purchasing. It also does not have the velcro to attach other mats to it so that's a bit of a minus as well. I thought about buying additional mats and McGuyver'ing velcro and adhesives to make larger mats but I might just save myself the trouble and purchase the correct size. Sure, it's not the same quality/size of a GOOD gym mat, but it works really well. It's a reasonable price and does exactly what is needed. My daughter has been using it for weeks and it's holding up and doing what it needs to do.

This mat is great. We bought it for my daughter for her 4th birthday and she loved it. It's durable, nice to be able to fold it up, and keeps her safe while she's tumbling. All of that being said, it's not even a year since we purchased and we have already ordered a larger mat. She needs more space than this mat provides to do her cartwheels and she's learning more advanced tumbling which requires more space. So, while this is a GREAT starter mat for small kids, if you're pretty sure you've got a little tumbler on your hands, maybe go for one of the bigger mats right from the get go. This was perfect for my 8 year old daughter and 11 year old son. During Covid quarantine they were doing their gymnastics/ninja classes at home via zoom. Having all wood floors I really need a mat for them, that was affordable but also somehing that could easily fold and be put away. The mat has held up to DAILY use and abuse since March! (Its now July). 2 kids using it..dogs laying on it bc it gets left out since its used so much (although it is very easy to fold up). For the price I highly suggest this mat.
