This guitar is perfect for the kid who wants a guitar, but has no idea what a guitar is or how it works. Perfect for mindless stumming of a 5-year-old putting on a "concert" for Mom and Dad. It's technically playable, (although it doesn't stay in tune very well) if they want to actually learn to play, which is why I think this makes a perfect toy. Half of the strings are plastic, and they slip out of the tuning knobs pretty easily. I combated this by tying them off around the pegs. Could probably be restrung with metal strings, but I'm not going to subject my 5-year-old's hands to bleeding and blisters quite yet. Not a perfect guitar by any means, there are flaws in the build quality, but my daughter loves it regardless. Well worth what I paid.

I like that this came with a tuner that works. Got it for Christmas for our six year old daughter as a present from Santa. She’d been asking all the Santa’s she saw for one, so she was excited to see it Christmas morning. We got it tuned and she’s been playing it ever since. She’s a typical six year old and abuses the guitar like they do and it has held up well. The strings seem sturdy as does the guitar itself. And it sounds very nice. So far it’s been a good purchase.

Firstly, I would like to acknowledge how beautifully crafted this guitar is. Especially, considering it’s a child’s guitar. Secondly, the sound quality is great. Color is rich and price can’t be beat. My nine year old loves it. All around, the guitar is perfect and I would’ve rated it five stars. Unfortunately, I believe the packaging was faulty or the process before the packaging could’ve been a little more delicate. We received ours with a deep scruff and chip. That’s my only complaint. My nine year old could not care less. Just grateful to have their first real guitar. I would still highly recommend the purchase.

Great little guitar to get started. My daughter is 8 and this was really a fun way to get her interested in the guitar. We then bough “real” guitar strings for this to replace the cheap ones. Worked out great!

Really great for the price, and believe it or not it holds a tune reasonably well once the strings are broke in. Wouldn't want to spend any more than this for a toddler, but it is decent enough for them to start learning to play, and learn how to take care of their stuff.
