Amazing that such a fine instrument is so affordable. I measured a few Mitutoyo gauge blocks and the tool (the one that I got, anyway) is in perfect agreement with the reference dimensions etched on the blocks. Incredible.

Works really well and the measurements are precise. It’s helped me a lot working with my CNC machine and work media. Only thing I would like is a way to lock the measurements. When you move it the measurements changes easily so I have to measure multiple times to make sure I got it right.

Less than half price of what I can find locally. Of equal quality. This is not a professional quality tool. But for household and hobby use it’s fantastic. Probably not super accurate but definitely accurate enough. Came with a case too. Which was unexpected for this price.

The good thing about this caliper is it has a fraction scale. This is handy if you deal with decimal mm measurements. However, it is very cheapy made. The calipers are plastic and I think everything else is too. The plastic case that holds it is difficult to open. You have to pry it apart each time. The most annoying thing though, is how touchy it is. You barely touch it and it turns on. You turn it off, set it in the case, and it turns back on. You constantly have to zero it too. As finicky as it is, I worry about the accuracy. I suggest spending a couple of dollars more to get something better than is brand. That's what I am about to do. ... show more

All the standard functions, ease of use, etc. are correct. Mine does not see heavy use, I keep it in a drawer and get it out for occasional use. Comes in a little clear plastic case that can hold a spare battery (not included). Bad news, like all calipers that use a plastic frame, it can give inaccurate readings if you are not consistent with your grip, or have poor alignment on the object being measured. In other words, if you push too hard or put in a position where it might flex, it will give an inaccurate / poor reading. If those items are a problem for your application, move to a metal frame caliper, this tool is not appropriate for your needs ... show more

I thought this was a cheap digital caliper with the most important function, a fractional readout. And it is. But it turns itself on when flexed slightly, such as when you are putting it back in its case. That means the expensive coin battery it uses will drain itself quickly. It would be better if simply being careful would prevent that from happening. But it doesn't. Even the slightest pressure will turn it back on. I could never put it back in its case without turning it back on, no matter how I tried. Also, it's built so lightly that it won't hold its measurement.
