4 pack is perfect for my family of 4! We go camping quite often, and these would be perfect if I wanted to pre-pack a to go lunch. Everyone gets their own and they double as plates. They seal very well but also open easily enough that my 6YO uses this as his lunch container for a bit. The reason he stopped is because this thing is a lot bigger than the lunch he wants to take to school. I tried to pack it full one time and he ended up only eating half. Filling it half ways just seems like a waste of space in lunch box. It’s easy enough to clean too, and a great value for the money.

I bought two sets of these at the beginning of this past school year. I had 4-5 people using them daily all school year, including 3 elementary school kids, a middle school kid, and me (adult, and using over school breaks as well, so pretty constant use). At first I was putting all of the pieces in the dishwasher, top rack. Then I realized that the tops warped just a bit from the dishwasher so I started to hand wash. After many months I noticed that the bottoms were getting a bit messed up from the dishwasher as well and decided to just hand wash them altogether, which honestly wasn't a burden. Other than that, they held up very well to heavy use. At the very end of the school year I had two crack a bit and threw them out. I also threw out another that got accidentally put through the dishwasher again and the bottom got kind of...melted? Anyway, I really love these and I came here to order another set to replace the broken ones so we can continue to use them through summer for camp. They fit perfectly in regular kids' lunchboxes bought at Target, plus they fit absolutely perfectly in the bottom of my Wildkin double decker lunchbox. And they are a great size, with enough room for a nice-sized lunch. I definitely recommend them for kids and adults. ***** I'm adding to this review. I think I first my first set of these 10 years ago. I still have some that are at least 8 years old and still in good condition. I always hand wash, but they are easy to clean. My youngest kids are now in high school and still use them but only occasionally; I, however, use them often to take my lunch to work. I've tried other boxes over the years, but the truth is this I prefer to stick to these -- they are simple and they work.

These are super sturdy and feel high quality (most bentgo products do - the brand is a real winner). The big compartment is the perfect size for a sandwich, which has been great for school lunches. The side compartment fits one of those Take n Toss cups nicely, which is useful for things like car lunches or taking snacks to the theater. I also bring these on road trips because they make excellent little lap trays for a happy meal on the go. Put the nuggets and sauce in the big compartment, fries in the little side compartment, boom. No spills. Overall these are just really nice quality and I’d definitely recommend them.

I have used these Easy Lunchbox brand lunch boxes for 3 of my kids for the past 5 years. I have been happy with how they work, and they last the entire school year, even though I have been washing them on the bottom rack of the dishwasher every time. The last package I ordered did have a couple that warped slightly, so by the end of the school year the lids were hard to get on. Also, now that my oldest is going into high school, these are too small. I really wish they made one that was twice as deep as this one. She likes to take salads and things like that as well as a couple of sides, and you just can't fit a healthy salad into the sandwich section. PROs: - These hold up really well despite heavy use and washing in the dishwasher. - The compartments make it easy to fix lunches and avoid using multiple containers. I love how easy it is to make a quick lunch and it's easy cleanup to rinse one container and toss it in the dishwasher. - This company also makes a cooler lunch bag which is fairly nice and fits the containers perfectly with enough room on top for things like yogurts or drinks. CONs: - While these do hold up well in the dishwasher (one school year easily), to keep them perfect and extend their life to several years, it's best to hand wash or at least keep them on the top rack. - I wish there were deeper sizes available for adult lunches. Even sometimes for the kids, if i want to put in something bulky like strawberries, I have to use both of the "sides" compartments or there's not enough. In the end, while these have been great and I will definitely use them for my son who is about to start kindergarten, I am now searching for a different system the older kids and I can use that will fit nice sized salads and sides. My kids aren't big sandwich fans, so for anyone looking for ideas, here is a list of their favorite main dishes to take in this lunch box (for sides we almost always do fruits, veggies, nuts or crackers): - Taco salad (their absolute favorite) - Caesar Salad with chicken and Parmesan - Home made healthy muffins like blueberry oat or banana chocolate chip - Peanut or almond butter explosion (one side compartment has peanut butter and the the rest are filled with things to dip in PB like veggies, fruits, a couple dark chocolate squares and crackers) - Cheese, crackers and meats (like a lunchable but with healthier cheese, crackers and meats :)) - Hummus, veggies and pita bread - We do take the occasional sandwiches of the usual kinds, and they also like peanut butter, apple and honey sandwiches which they think taste like caramel apples

Update (9/17/2022): these are still holding up pretty well 7 years later. My kids are now teenagers and feel food at lunch should be consisted of snacks and the like [insert eye roll]. However, I use these for my everyday use for lunch to work. They are sturdy and still holding up to all the washes in the dishwasher. Please be aware newer products may have changed since when I purchased so this updated review may be a moot point. I purchased this along with the classic. These have been holding up perfectly and I still continue to use these for my kids lunches. I love that it has it's separate compartment for their food and they only have to fuss with one container. I had my 6 year old test it out on opening it and closing as typical Tupperware style containers are hard for little hands to open and close. I've had these for about 5 months not and can say they have been holding up great. I did have one lid chip at the tap part, but other than that, they are still good. The plastic is a lot more durable than those you would purchase in store from a certain brand. I did however, go on a wild chase as to find lunch boxes that would accommodate these beauties and found stand up bags from Target at a reasonable price. I wasn't too keen on the Easy Lunch boxes, and wanted something a little bit more stylish. The ones I purchased at Target (online, since we do not have one close by) were not only stylish, but a lot cheaper than that recommended for these containers. My kids don't have to worry about their lunch all flipped flopped. We have tried to put some sort of liquidy type in these containers and they do not do very well with containing it to what section you add it to. The second biggest compartment fits an applesauce container great. So when I add this, I usually open it up for my 6 year old, just so that teacher has one less child to worry about helping to open stuff. My little one informed me that the teacher would like me to keep it closed due to the fact that it does leak, and that's still with leaving the foil cover on it. I probably have one that is a little bit stained, but that may be due to the fact that my husband started bringing a lunch and may have microwaved this. I highly recommend these containers.

I have been using this bento box container since the first day of school, so about a month now. It claimed to be dishwasher safe so straight out of the packaging I threw it into the dishwasher and it proved true- no warping or issues since then. I was mostly worried about it fitting into my son's lunch box since technically the box was slightly longer (about 1 inch) than the lunchbox's length measurements. However, I was able to squeeze the container in with overall ease- no significant force used- since the lunch box was made of the soft insulated material and there was enough give. I'm able to zipper it with no issues or force. Next, I was so excited to see it fit an entire standard sized Portuguese roll in the sandwich portion, with that said a white top sliced bread sandwich has ample space. In the smaller containers I usually throw in fresh fruits and/or dry finger foods for snacks, ie pretezels, popcorn, oreos, strawberries, mandarins, grapes, baby tomatoes, etc. I would definitely approve the leak proof claim because some of those fresh fruits after rinsing can have some left over water/juices. My 10 year old has never complained of any leaking into other compartments or outside the container in general. He has been able to open the lid without any difficulty. The container itself has the perfect amount of depth that it can fit as much food as possible but without being overly bulking that it gives me a hard time closing the lunch box. In fact, I still have room to add more in the lunch box on top/below of the bento box (juice pouch, ice packs, additional ziplock bag. KEEP in mind the size of the lunch box you plan to use may give you varied results. Lastly can we talk about the price?! I got the 4 pack to start with since I was skeptical after finding so many options and ultimately settling on this one for its overall dimensions, compartment portions/sizes & customer reviews. I LOVED how inexpensive this was compared to the BENTGO brand boxes. Those containers were so expensive and didn't have any additional room than this one. Actually, there was less room in their boxes, even LESS in the box that came with the option of a built in freezer pack insert. So I figured if I'm going to get a bento box that will require a separate ice pack anyways, I may as well pay for the cheaper, less flashy but equally (if not more) functional as the brand name. I sincerely have nothing bad to say about this product's functionality. At most all I can say against it is that it does take up room in the dishwasher top rack but that isn't even a dealbreaker since it can always be washed by hand effortlessly. It has been so easy to get lunch prepped in the AM, sometimes I even prep it the night before if I anticipate being strapped for time the following morning and just throw it in the fridge overnight! Ready to go! My favorite plus about this is that its 100% more environmentally friendly for such a minimal price. I no longer worry about buying enough plastic zip lock bags or whether I should waste ANOTHER snack/sandwich bag to pack my son's food, especially once the bag gets dirty and then tossed. I feel this bento box is more convenient to use and reuse compared to those reusable sandwich/snack bags, speaking from my personal experience using both products. If you're on the fence about getting this, I would definitely recommend this product!

I've been wanting to try these boxes out for a while now, and there are so many brands to choose from. After reading many reviews, I chose this brand and I'm really glad I did. I was immediately impressed with the heavy duty quality of these boxes. I have started to do a lot of meal prep in my efforts to cut out fast food, get healthy, and lose weight These are perfect for that. There are 3 separate compartments that are fairly deep and I really love how the lid is formed to secure each section individually. The lids are very easy to remove but they don't just fall off. The food inside stays in the compartment it was put in because the lid fits perfectly into the grooves of the container. I know a lot of big and little people that don't like their food to touch and this is a great way to remedy that type of situation. When stacked they stay together, so there are no accidental spills in the fridge. The lid colors are really attractive and I like that they offer options for those who don’t want neon colors. Food stays fresh and when I re-heat food in the microwave the food doesn't stick or stain the box, a rarity in my experience. I used to dread meal prep, trying to find the right containers and enough of them then measuring out the proper portions but this set is absolutely perfect and already does the work for me. These would be perfect for packing healthy school lunches for kids, but they’re large enough for adult size portions as well. I take these straight from the fridge and into the microwave they go, no need for extra containers. Definitely try these out if you’re into meal prepping, have children you pack lunches for, or even if you just want to pack up leftovers neatly to keep them fresh and ready to eat. I have been searching for a year for the perfect lunchbox. My son and husband are gluten free so I pack around a lot of food. They also have super fast metabolisms and eat a lot more then the normal person, so when we go out for the day I pack food enough for 6 people even though there are only 4 of us! I was sick of zipper bags, wrong sized containers, and losing things in the diaper bag. I came across these and knew I had finally found the right ones! I ordered 2 sets of containers and 2 cooler bags. I can fit my husband's lunch for work into the cooler along with extras like yogurt cups and fruit. He loves the smaller side containers because the pickles for his sandwiches can be separate. Sounds like a small deal, but pickles make a sandwich soggy if you put them on the night before! For my kids I love all the separate compartments in each container because I can pack multiple snacks. I can also be assured that all the gluten free snacks for my son are separate from things only his sister can eat. Customer service is AMAZING. I pulled a lid off one container and a small piece from the bottom broke off. Possibly a stress fracture from shipping. I emailed customer service and within the hour Kelly Lester, mom & CEO emailed me back offering a free replacement piece shipped to my door as well as tips for how to make them last as long as possible. They are definitely not flimsy take and toss pieces, and they do NOT discolour or warp in the dishwasher (2 things I hate about plastic containers). They are heat resistant enough that they can even go on the bottom of the dishwasher! I love the cooler size, 3 containers fit easily, or 2 plus extras. The lids, although not leakproof, offer quite a good seal. Enough that you don't worry about one compartment's food tasting like the others! If you're on the hunt for lunchboxes I would recommend giving these a try. They are not so costly that you would strangle your kids (or husband lol) for losing them, but at the same time they are not cheapo ones that you would toss out on purpose for a long time! All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and with the follow up customer service!
