  • Another great Zowie mice
Size: Small Color: Matte Black
So i'm on a little mouse spree trying to find the right mouse for my everyday and i'm typically all ergo but i wanted to try an ambi or symmetrical mouse to try. i have a med size hand, i truly found this out when my EC-1b started to feel like i was pushing a dump truck. so i went for the EC-2b, sold by Addice, Inc,; btw super fast shipping! I did a little research and i decided to try the S2. At first i was hesitant about the 58cm width but i like the 120-125mm length so this hit that sweet spot. it's lower profile of 38mm vs the Ec2 was a nice change. it really is a relaxed grip and you feel your palm spoon the bum of the mouse rather nicely. very comfy. The clicks are awesome. The scroll wheel is zowie 16 click. the finish is outstanding. it has a grippier texture, so it's easier to grip off the pad. i really like the zowie models, they are solid and reliable. and all the buttons are on the bottom. So clean! they are a little heavier but for my use, excel can wait that extra sec for me to move the mouse. lol amazing mouse, would def recommend. yay no RGB too :) ... show more

  • Updated quality
Size: Medium Color: Matte Black
-updated coating, its not the glossy black that the EC-B series has. -side clicks are the best in all the Zowie shapes, they are huge and travel is short like instant clicks. -scroll wheel seems to have been updated too, its not as loose feeling as the previous Zowie makes. -mouse 1 and mouse 2 also feel crisp to me. No complaints from me. -extra mouse feet -great quality ... show more

  • Zowie gave up trying in 2019
Size: Small Color: Matte Black
I still prefer My FK2 and EC2 to this mouse, but my main is now a second launch Model O matte. Zowie is missing the game by releasing, now, heavy mice with teflon feet and standard cables. I love Zowie mice and used them Explicitly as my main for 10 years straight since the original mouse they just called the EC, but they need to shave 20 grams off their mice , put PTFE feet on them and give them a photon wire or at least a crappy para-cord. Why should anyone pay $70 for a heavy mouse that needs minimum 3 mods at at least $20 extra when you can buy a near perfect mouse from Glorious PC Gaming Race for $50 now that the Model O finally has quality control. ... show more

  • Good mouse for FPS games, but outdated in several areas
Size: Small Color: Matte Black
After a few more than a month with it I wanted to describe my experience and why I went back to my G305. Some pros/cons may be personal preference, of course: Pros: -Shape is pretty good. I have a G305 and I dislike how the sides of it are curved inwards and with no curves to assist a good, consistent grip. The S2 is heaven in comparison. I just feel the rear is a little too fat but it may just be the overall size of the mouse. -Feet feel pretty good. Comes with replacement. -Flawless sensor. -Great low profile looks. -No need to install software. Configure DPI and polling rate with the two buttons below the mouse. -Zowie clicks are said to be quite stiff and less crisp compared to other mice from, say, Logitech. They do feel a bit less crisp but they're almost as if not as light as my G305's, which amongst other Logitech mice are also already quite light. -The side buttons are so. much. better than my G305's and just quite good feeling overall. -The scrollwheel is very good when you bind it to something where you don't want to accidentally scroll two or more times since it's hard to do so. Cons: -Feet could be a bit thicker. If you press down the mouse too much (which I fortunately don't do) it could increase friction by a lot since they're so thin. Might last less too because of it. -The coating is a fingertip magnet. Even after thoroughly cleaning it with a microfiber cloth and a especial liquid to remove grease it has few small spots that seem permanently "tainted", and that's just after a month of use. Compare that to my 1 year old G305 that I could cheat someone into thinking it's 100% new. -I thought the slightly bigger size compared to the G305 wouldn't be a big deal and it kinda isn't but it's still a bit of a problem since it restricts me with vertical movement and horizontal movement to a lesser degree. My hands aren't even small, but medium and with a fingertip/claw grip. You would think one of the smallest mice Zowie could offer could fit that niche better since they're all about hand-size/grip variety but I must say they're lagging behind the competition. -Could be a bit lighter in my opinion, although most of the feeling (but not all of it) comes from the size. Even when using AA alcaline batteries with my G305 which puts it at 99g, it somehow still has lighter feel to it compared to the 86g S2. -The cable is outdated compared to many new mice (wireless/shoelace-style cables). If you're any kind of serious about FPS games and unless your sensitivity is very high, you NEED a mouse bungee and even then the cable may still feel annoying sometimes. -The scrollwheel is loud AF and the 16 steps makes it feel awful for scrolling web pages/documents. -70 dollars doesn't feel like a good price. ... show more

  • Compared to fk2, the "Clicks" feel less prominent.
Size: Small Color: Matte Black
I thought this s2 would be better but its not in my opinion. Testing it out next to my fk2, the s2 feels cheaply made because the clicks are not as solid and crisp as the fk2. The shape and size of the mouse is good, but the clicks feel less prominent than the fk2, so I stayed with the fk2 as my gaming mouse. Zowie should have made the clicks crisper and more satisfying. That is what turned me off from the s2 is the feel of the clicks, its hard to describe, you have to try it for yourself to know. The fk2 clicks feel more satisfying and helps improve my gaming experience. ... show more

  • Critical reviews are 100% accurate.
Size: Small Color: Matte Black
I agree with most of the critical reviews on this mouse. Andrew Vo summed it up very nicely. Zowie isn't adapting fast enough to the market. At a whopping $70 I would expect additional features and improvements. While superfluous, it's always nice when mice have optional RGB. It looks pretty, there's no denying that. Software controls are nonexistent and really should be optional in this day and age. I found myself missing having customizability from my Logitech mouse VERY early on. Cable is the Zowie standard. It's O.K. but has been the same for YEARS. Clicks are nice and stiff, like zowie mice have always been. Side buttons are heavily improved from my previous Zowie mouse (EC2-B). Scroll wheel is abhorrent. It's incredibly loud, hard to scroll, but the click seems okay. Definitely stiff. 82g for the small S2 without cable doesn't match the competition. Mouse feet are decent, but are becoming below standard with Virgin PTFE feet becoming the new "meta." There's just way too much competition for this mouse to sell. Featureless used to be a feature for Zowie, but it's been years of stagnant improvements. If you're a die-hard Zowie fan, the mouse is okay. Bump at the back is particularly high for me, but is personal preference. ... show more
