Here's how good this candle is: Last night, I caramelized two onions for about 40 minutes in a 700 sq. ft. shotgun-style apartment. I forgot to close the doors to other rooms, and, of course, the entire apartment stunk like onions. This morning, I lit my brand new Bergamot & Jasmine candle and have been letting it burn for the past two hours. My entire apartment now smells AMAZING. The fragrance is more high-end than I expected--a photorealistic jasmine, with a slight hint of citrus from the bergamot. I also smell tuberose, though it's not listed in the notes. The candle is giving Diptyque, not Yankee Candle, and actually smells a lot like Do Son. Whoever chose and blended the oils for this candle really knows what they are doing.

I wasn’t sure when choosing Charcoal scent what it would be like. It’s like a cross between an old fir tree and smoldering fire. It fills the room. No floral tones at all. Would def buy this again.

UPDATE: Customer service department is wonderful, they reached out and made sure I was satisfied. When I took the candle out of the package I LOVED the smell, it also has nice packaging. However, when it’s lit, there’s very little scent throw. I can barely smell it. I do love the fact that a portion of the proceeds are going to a good cause however, probably won’t purchase again unfortunately.

I purchased this candle based on the reviews here and was excited to try it myself. Here are my thoughts as a passionate candle lover.. (1st) love the all black look-as my color scheme for my house consist of neutrals, grey, and black…so works well. And I often buy candles according to smell and if they fit the colors I have going on. The packaging is cute. Love the msg on the back of box. (2nd) while the scent can be smelled from where it is, this size candle works best for smaller spaces - and I got the largest one. I will need a candle for every room for it carry throughout my one bedroom apt. I got the one with Bergamot. (3rd) as mentioned previously, the largest size is still small for me. I would have preferred a larger candle size option especially for this price point. This size is either the same as the Bath & Body Works 3 wick candle or slightly smaller. Still not bad but would have preferred more options or a lower price point. (4th)-it does not come with a lid. This is always a deciding factor for me when I buy candles. Idc how much I like a candle if there is no lid, I will leave it. So seeing there was no lid was a turnoff. Just a preference thing. Overall nice product. Would I rebuy? Meh..maybe.

If you are looking for a *FIG* tree scented candle, this is not the one you want. This is 100% pine tree scented. Not fig tree. It is also very strong. I lit it and writing 20 minutes the entire room is smelling of pine. Some may not think that's a bad thing, it's just not fig. The jar is very pretty when burning though. It's a black jar, gold inside lining and looks dark red when burning.

I like the lack of a wick but I agree they're just not nearly as fragrant by the time it gets fragrant it's nearly gone. The packaging is clearly inferior or cheap this is EVERY single month so I am find a/Benevolence18 stitches is when I say NO MORE!! I found a fabulous & large & well packed candle in North 96 3-wick & so fragrant & stunning to boot, definitely much larger & feels much more expensive worth the extra few bucks for sure. I can't see ordering from this company who's attitude isn't the best or customer oriented anyway when there are really fabulous candles out there who actually appreciate their customers & box their candles like precious gifts you are proud to gift to yourself or others!! Get a nice candle set w/a with wifi cutter included & a USB lighter & snuffer look there's a complete set again not from Benevolence, too expensive for a not all inclusive set & the washer fell off the candle snuffer & it's never been found on week 1 it's worthless w/o it. Oh and "1 gift of buy 1 get 1 50% off per customer for life" but we can send you broken candles & cause you repeated bodily injury w/no apology or remedy EVER. These candles will burn in 1.5 days if you forget just once or nap, it's an expensive nap! I just got off the phone w/Amazon not paying for another broken Benevolence candle for as long as I live & sent my husband's near severed index inter photo in w/ER bill. Be VERY careful opening these if you feel you simply cannot live w/o these candles (trust me you can just check these others out) or you risk truly serious injury. Good luck & happy holidays :)
