  • This is a great unit, smart features, quality cables and a killer remote panel
There are a ton of inverters out there and some have a better recognized name than others. I grow weary of brown box items these days and I wasn't sure what to expect based on the price point. I tested 3 units, the 1500, the 2000 and now the 3000 watt. In short, they are all really good solid units at a fantastic price point. I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for" so starting off, I was thinking this was going to be a bargain basement unit and I started testing it that way. This is going into my workshop to power up my AC tools. I started with a battery charger, a fan, a sander, then bench grinders, table saw, shop vac, air compressor, until I ran out of tools. The vacuum and air compressor hardly gave it a stress. Now, i run them one at a time as I normally do, so if this is going in an RV with multiple high wattage volume, this still should do the trick as well but I didn't test that. The build quality is good with a metal case with the heat sink fins on the inside. No weird connections, glue or solder joints. The included fuses can be replaced by removing the front face and the bottom plate with 8 screws. The front and back panels are plastic. This looks like it was designed by engineers not designers. The front display is awesome and it include a remote display that matches it exactly. In fact, it's the best remote of any inverter I've seen or tested. Since this will go into a saw dust filled room the remote is a key feature for me. I do wish it showed watts as well however, that's how my brain works. 3 AC plugs arranged pretty closely, a hardware port ( unscrew to install ) and USB port - which is always hot - and I love that. I can charge up my phone without powering up the whole thing. The base is lifted just a bit to let air flow into the vents on the bottom as well as the front. The battery cables are solid copper with the right sized lugs. I tend to overwire so I'll up them one gauge. I like the terminal covers as well. If you're still reading this, congrats. I got this unit for free to review and simply was not expecting such a nice unit. This is a keeper and will be installed and used in my workshop. It's currently hooked up to a 100ah 12v battery and small solar array. I would recommend this unit based on performance alone but at this price point it's terrific. ... show more

  • Big Power Pure sine wave
This 3000 watt 12Volt inverter is exactly what I was looking for to use as my main inverter in my DIY solar generator it replaced the much smaller inverter I had previously used. This is a high quality unit with three 120v house style plugs as well as a 5 volt USB port. This display allows you to see exactly what is going on , it has a DC input gauge giving you your battery level as well as an AC output gauge letting you know what kind of power you're putting out it has a load level letting you know how much load you're putting on the 3000 watt inverter it also has a digital battery level meter with red yellow and blue lights indicating state of charge all that is also visible on the remote control panel which has the same screen as it does on the inverter itself controlled with a cable that plugs directly into the inverter and the back of control panel the on and off button on the remote panel will shut the hole inverter down there's also on/off button on the face of the inverter. This is probably overkill for a 200 amp hour solar generator but with enough solar this will run everything that I need to run. I plugged my camper into this and it ran everything in my camper except for the air conditioner. I just didn't try to run the air conditioner off of a 200 amp hour battery pack. For the price this unit is solid quality very durable and highly informative so I would recommend. ... show more

  • BELTTT 3000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter 12V DC
Pros: - Compact unit that is about the same size as my AIMS 2000W inverter that I use as reference, this can be a concern, long term test will show how reliable this 3000W inverter will be. - It has Remote display control. - It puts out 120VAC, the output can be adjusted up and down in 5V increment. - It has a good display. - It has an AC output terminal for hardwire but see the Cons about this terminal. - It has a Ground lug for Grounding on the side of the unit. - The AC outlets/terminal has Neutral- Ground bonding, but if you are going to hook up to the sub panel then you must not do Neutral/Ground bonding at the panel since the inverter is the Main panel so your sub panel cannot have Neutral/Ground bonding. - At 3000W load the output is still at 119VAC which is really good.. - The AC output still maintains clean Sine wave at 3000W. - It can easily run my side by side 1991 25 cu.ft Whirlpool fridge which has long duration high surge at start up, i use this fridge for testing inverter surge capability. - It can easily run my 8000 BTU (SACC) Hisense A/C-Heat pump. - Fan noise is typical compared to my other inverters I has tested in the past, it is not screaming loud. Cons: - The supplied DC power cables are 1/0 Awg (50mm2) which is right at the borderline for running 3000W inverter, I wish it comes with the larger wire gauge to reduce Voltage drops when running full load. - The supplied DC power cables are terminated with M10 ring lugs, they should be M8 instead which is typical for 3000W inverter. - The DC input terminals have M6 studs, it should be M8 instead. - The AC output terminals should be changed so you can easily connect the wires to the terminals, right now you have to remove the two mounting screws for the terminals to get to the screws to tighten the wires, it is very difficult to do, the user manual does not have any instruction on how to connect the wires to the AC output terminals. - The AC Volt meter shows 119 Vac, my Fluke shows 121 Vac so it is off a little bit, the DC meter is OK. - The standby current draw (inverter on but no AC load) is about 1.65A @13.3V which is about 22W which is quite high, it is about 528 Wh per day so if you have small capacity batteries then you need to factor in the run time, I would suggest to turn the inverter off when AC output is not needed. Conclusion: $200 for this 3000W inverter that has good surge capacity is not a bad deal, but too bad that the standby power is too high. ... show more
