This loft is just the right height for younger kids as well as teens. It has a larger weight capacity than many other similar beds. Putting it together was not terribly challenging if you take your time. The metal frame is very durable and heavy gauge. The desk underneath is an added plus. There are lights that change colors that come with this loft that are adhered to the back of the desk. The lights have a remote as well for ease of changing the colors. Great fun and practical, too. You will need to adhere the loft to the wall for added security. It comes with two brackets to do this with. Sturdy bed. It is an extra-long twin for bigger kids which is a plus. Be sure to get only an extra-long mattress that is not thicker than 5 or 6 inches. The railings are not 13" but 11", so that was the only discrepancy on the site. Great loft. Recommend. ... show more

Just what my son wanted. One of the pole caps was cracked, but there were two spares in the box so that was an easy fix. The desk top had a small crack in it, but after getting this thing together I was not taking it all apart. I put it together myself, but two people would make the job a lot faster! ... show more

My grandson loves his new bed. My son says it was easy to assemble and very sturdy and stable. It functions perfectly for what my grandson wanted. It is double the size he needed.

Easy to set up, although one of the desks arrived with a crack in the middle of the wood. We’ve sent several emails and they have responded a month or so later. A replacement wood part of the desk was sent, as well as a replacement remote for the lights. The bed wobbles a bit but my kids love their big kid bed! ... show more

    • Cheaply put together, starts to break after a month
Bed is definitely a two person job to finally set up. That being said, after only a month or so, the guardrails are starting to separate at the join, which isn't welded well or at all. So there is a definite safety concern. Also the LEDs are predictably cheap and do not adhere after a day or so. Do not recommend, better to spend the money on a quality wood loft bed. ... show more
