GROM PATROL. Inspired by our popular Stoker adult mountain bike helmet, this awesome kids’ model has extended rear coverage and a visor to complete the look. Kids these days. They love to ride, sometimes fearlessly, and they have more trails, bike parks and fun places to shred. We designed the Sidetrack kids bike helmet to keep up with them. The Sidetrack features our all-mountain shape with lower coverage on the rear of the head. The ready-for-action style, complete with a cool visor, gets young riders motivated to ride. And the new Ergo-Fit system makes it quick and easy to get them going.

Got this to take the kiddo on little bike rides around the neighborhood. I was worried she'd not want to wear it for any number of toddler reasons. She has no problem with it at all - there's a lot of room to adjust the fit, so it fits her well, doesn't seem uncomfortable at all, and is quite lightweight. Single favorite feature (besides how it will protect that amazing little brain in there) is the PinchGuard buckle. Great helmet, fits perfectly for my 7 year. He loves the color. Only issue we have are the straps. Why so many and all long. It’s for youth not an adult, no child is ever going to need the longest size it has to offer.

Great product and at an awesome price. I like to try and buy from my local bike shop, but unfortunately for a kids helmet they just couldn't compete (this was like $25 and bike shop cheapest kids helmet was almost $100) Just remember realistically you should change a helmet after a bad crash, visible cracks in the foam, and/or 5 years as a general go by. So this will hopefully last a while and if not we'll be buying another. Also the amount of vents has significantly reduced the amount my kid sweats when he's riding from other helmets that only have 1 or 2. ... show more

My kids have avoided all helmets as they have been uncomfortable. This is the first helmet my kids have worn without complaint. The helmet Has an adjustable inner web to customize for a secure fit that allows for the helmet to adjust as the child grows. The adjustable length of strap allow for maximum comfort. The kid is able to use it for an extended period of time without complaining or sweating. Looks nice, he loves the shark, it's fairly easy to adjust once you realize how to work with the adjustment controls, and seems to provide good protection since the head is very well covered, even on the sides.
