The Bell Lithium is an amazing helmet! The quality and fit are immediately noticeable, and the aerodynamics are way better than anything I’ve owned. When I’m tucked, I can literally feel the wind glide cleanly over the top of my head — no buffeting, no weird turbulence, just smooth airflow. Noise reduction is excellent once the helmet is on. Everything becomes noticeably quieter. There’s a slight weight to it but it’s evenly distributed and not awkward to hold. The visor is nice and theirs a thoughtful drop-down sun visor. It took me one return to get the right size. It's snug, but in a comforting way. I LOVE the fact that it has a chin flap and came with a pinlock insert. The anti fog is amazing. It's a great helmet at a great price point.

Very comfortable helmet and I'm sure it will be more comfortable once it breaks in plus I am a fan of the MIPS protection. Helmet is not too heavy and I Got this for a good price too. Bell helmets are always of good quality. My only 2 complaints are that it could use a bit more room in the chin area and it's a bit noisy. After installing a com unit I found my chin and lip can touch the mic and I used the stick on mic instead of the boom mic. I have a tall windshield on my bike and it's still a noisy helmet. What's odd is that it's actually quieter with the face shield in the up position. I usually wear earplugs on long rides which helps a lot. ... show more

I remember the old "if you have a $10 head, buy a $10 helmet" Bell ads from back in the 70s when I began riding on the road. That's always stuck with me. Helmets have evolved and improved over the years, including inclusion of new tech based on actual crash injury data, and how to best prevent those occurrences. MIPS is one of those improvements, and I'm glad to have it. My head is many years older now, but I still agree with the axiom of spending money on what matters. A good helmet is one of those things. The helmet has a snug but comfortable fit. It comes with a pin mount shield, which is nice. The inner "sunscreen" drop-down visor also comes in handy, giving you some sun shielding without the discomfort of wearing sunglasses. Interior panels are removable for cleaning, and the helmet is molded inside for the addition of wireless comms. Even the 45mm JBL/Cardo speakers fit just fine. Appearance and fit is top-notch, and it is relatively light and comfortable for long rides. Airflow is also sufficient, and with a variety of vent and visor position possibilities, is comfortable even in upper 90 Texas temps. ... show more

    • Fantastic Daily Use Helmet
This is a fantastic helmet for the value. The fit is in the small side, I recommend going one size bigger. I usually use Shoei helmets but purchased the Bell lithium as a second helmet but after been wearing it for a week now, it has become my daily helmet to commute. It’s very lightweight and live the sun internal sun visor. The ventilation is superb, the helmet kept me cool in hot California weather. The visibility all around is excellent and love the fact it comes with the pinlock anti fog visor. The only drawback was the noise level specifically when you are riding on the highways at highway speeds. The wind noise is very loud compared with my shoei gt air 2. Overall. Runs narrow. I'm a LG based on their sizing chart, but can barely get my head into the helmet, and it feels like a vise. I guess helmets are even more finicky than shoes. So be careful about relying on Amazon's return policies. I'm going to take a 6 hour round trip in a few weekends, so I can try on helmets at a Cycle Gear store. ... show more

Disclaimer: I have not ridden with this helmet yet, but I am extremely happy how well it works for me as someone bespectacled. Provided is a short video of me putting the visor up and down so you can see how it clears my glasses. I got me a size medium, which fits perfectly, and I did go with that size because I already have a Bell Super helmet for cycling, and the sizing translates well. The glasses I’m wearing here are 48-18-140 with nosepads so it does push it out a bit more, but clears no problem. Love the positioning of the toggle for the inner visor, and I think I prefer this over photochromic shields. I was lucky to procure mine at a lower price (discontinued color?) and I think at this price point I’m very happy at first glance. ... show more
