Would be great if it weren't so poorly made. The hinge does not provide enough resistance to intuitively prevent over-rotating the hinge. When the hinge is over-rotated, the plastic stresses and breaks. Because of this, I am on my third unit. The first arrived broken, another ending up broken before I got to setting it up, and the third being highly stressed and nearly broken from just the initial setup. This leaves me little faith in the products ability to last. Extremely disappointed for a "premium" product from a "premium brand." If the durability was not an issue, it sets up without issue and works as intended - holding my phone in-place above my monitor for use with continuity camera. I'm using a Dell 27" 4K from 2015 so it's thicker than most Apple monitors and it seems to fit fine. UPDATE: Knocking it down to 1-star. My fourth one showed up and upon opening it up to extend it WITHIN THE REQUIRED ARTICULATION for setup, the hinge disintegrated. Not going to try a fifth. ... show more

    • Well Made Product But...
This is a well made product but the clip does not stay attached to the top of the monitor. The monitor is thin and wiggles so it is easy for the unit to fall from it. If we had a monitor with the rim the same width as the unit (like the top of a picture frame), it would be a more secure fit.

    • Don’t drop it, hinge breaks easily
Before it broke, it worked well. But much too fragile for something that sits on top of a monitor and is likely to fall off when you remove your phone from the mount.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. The hinge, designed with 1mm of plastic, WILL BREAK with NORMAL USE. Belkin did not create this product with this in mind. Had they undergone product testing, lasting 1-2 months of regular use, they would have discovered this problem. Belkin DOES NOT have an updated model, and WILL REQUIRE that you SHIP the unit back to them AT YOUR COST before shipping a replacement unit with the same issue. The best accessory for FaceTime on Apple TV coming with iOS 17. Maybe the only accessory. I think it will be compatible with most TVs. Magesafe does a good job. The material quality is very good. It does not damage the TV in any way.

This simple mount works fine with my Dell 27" monitors. It's maybe overpriced for what it is, but it lets me use my iPhone 16 Pro Max for meetings, with much better video quality than any other webcam I've used.
