  • Love this synth
Pattern Name: WASP DELUXE
I always wanted a Wasp synth, after using a VST for years. But didn't have the money to buy an original.

Sounds great. Versatile. Well worth the price. Nice addition. Crunchy sounds. Alien sounds, too. No regrets.

  • THE WASP REVIEW
Pattern Name: WASP DELUXE
I Love it. ☣️☣️☣️ I’m really getting into synths by Behringer. I also have Roland, Korg and Novation. If you yourself are interested in this synth then I definitely would give you advice into looking at the Behringer Pro 1 and the Behringer Neutron.

  • The True Best First Monosynth. Also, filter playground. (Free Patch in Photo)
Pattern Name: WASP DELUXE
These were out of stock when I tried to pick one up a week ago. This is a synth you end up buying potentially a few times. The first time. The second time when you realize giving it away to a friend or relation was a bad idea. The third time when you buy one as a gift for someone. The value is in function. I can not begin to describe how much you miss this workflow the first time you make the mistake of giving this away. It is crazy easy to chase a sound with this synth and find it, then transfer it to a different synth if needed. Maybe the sound would work better with a certain 4 pole or SEM filter. Maybe I want a weirder shape combination, or a third oscillator. It's really easy to take ideas you figure out on the Wasp to something like a Pro-800 or Deepmind or Hydrasynth or any knobby/sliddery synth for that matter. The point is, you can be almost positive you can take ideas from the Wasp to another synth. That's why it's great. And because of the VERY useful filter section, it's all possible. But it's not just great for workshopping ideas. It also sounds amazing once you add good a fuzz/delay/stereo-chorus chain after it. The fuzz makes it sound bigger when needed. Or very scifi. The delay can turn it into a convenient pad. The chorus is free stereo. The June 60 from TC is great. So is their SCF if you can find it. N-UX makes a great cheap clone. Any 108 fuzz works great. I use the mini one. Delay is tougher. You want an MXR Carbon Copy but it's spendy. Kooga makes a cheap clone that's not bad. If you want more tonal shaping and not a lazy button press, get the White Tape or Island from Donner. Good luck finding the Island. That said.. The White Tape is back in stock, it's about 40 bucks, and it's the best value in a stereo tape delay on Earth. Make your chain Fuzz > Delay > Chorus -> Supercomputing Matrix. I will save you time on the White Tape. Cross patch it now. Take the top output from one side and connect it to the bottom input on the other side, and make one huge 3.2 second mono delay for your keyboard, right before your stereo chorus. You will eventually end up doing this and hate yourself for not doing it sooner. Free Patch in the picture. Turn your knobs the same way. I call it "LazyFloyd". ... show more

  • Has always been a unique Synthesizer, now priced right!
Pattern Name: WASP DELUXE
The media could not be loaded. When I started building my new Home Music Production Studio in 2021 I immediately purchased Behringer's ARP 2600 Blue Marvin and Model D because I had owned the originals and wanted to relive some of that Synthesizer history. I also included the Pro -1 & Neutron because they were both selling for a limited time at a significantly reduced price and are great Synths in their own right. I soon added the K-2 because I had never owned the original Korg (at the time I felt I didn't need one as I loved my MiniMoog) and wanted that The MS-20 thick robust sound, which was uniquely raw and wonderfully distorted. At that time I considered both the CAT and WASP but honestly felt they weren't Clones worth the price they were selling for. Now that Behringer has officially reduced the prices on to $199.00 for the CAT and $149.00 for the WASP Deluxe it was time to take another look and I bought both of them. I always loved The Wasp's filter design and how it abused the digital inverters as if they were analog op-amps, which made for a unique distortion, "70's ish grunge" and other "nasty" artifacts that define the specific sound of its filter's Multi-mode Lo, Hi, Band and Notch modes. That’s one of biggest reasons to own one. Also the ability to use the External Input on this Wasp Deluxe to process thru its Filter makes this Synthesizer even more useful. So at this price it's a must have addition to any Synthesizer Setup. Just the filter alone is worth the price. In fact the Doepfer A-124 VCF5 Wasp Eurorack Filter Module alone costs almost as much. So now I have completed my "Sextet" of Behringer Semi-Modular Synths with this "Stinging" Synth! Get one, you can't afford not to!! ... show more

  • Behringer DOES NOT Disappoint
Pattern Name: WASP DELUXE
I've own the Neutron, Model D, Pro-One and now the WASP. My biggest gripe is that clearly I got a return. The power supply is missing in the package! Behringer a big UP, Amazon a big DOWN. What happened, Amazon? Needless to say, this synth, limited of course, sounds amazing! If you vintage tinted that's all it's own, this is the one to get. ... show more
