I have been a piano teacher as well as a vocalist. . I had a treasured spinet piano which I took half way around the world. The problem is that when I returned to the mainland and stayed at an apartment, piano playing was not allowed and I ended up selling it. I have never owned a key board before and did a large amount of research before making this selection. I ruled out keyboards which were known to have keys that didn’t play or really bad sound. It was amazing to me that even well known brands costing triple what this unit did had keys that didn’t work. Others had problems with the keys sticking together. I tried to rule those out also. When I decided on this one I was still unsure. I got the unit today. The whole thing weighed around 20 pounds including the stand. The box was undamaged and arrived ahead of time. The keyboard is very nice. It includes headphones, a microphone, stand and stool. What a deal for the money!. Although it did not say it included an adapter, it has one. It looks very solid with good quality plastic. Very attractive. It was very easy to hook up and play. It has tons of timbres and a transposing feature. It also has a recording and rhythm features. Although I may not use all these features it’s nice to have them available. It’s looks very well built and solid although light weight. Although it did not come with a sustaining pedal it has a sustaining feature. Not sure yet how to use it. It does not have a carrying case but considering all it does have I think it’s a super deal. Another thing I noted in reviews of other products is the music stand was too thin to hold sheet music or books which often fell. This one has a nice music stand which fits the hymnal I am using. Wow! Great buy. I may be updating this later as I start using the tons of features the model has. So far I am very happy the basics are working well! ... show more

This is such a nice keyboard for the price it is and the keys feel like I spent thousands of dollars on this. It's awesome ! I don't know how to play but I figured on my down time maybe I could learn a thing or two.

We bought this keyboard as a present for our musically inclined 7 year-old grandson. We wanted a "starter" keyboard to gauge his interest before purchasing more advanced. I wasn't able to find answers to some of my questions, so I'm adding this information for others. Overall, I think this product is a good fit for our needs. Good: The keyboard has lots of buttons and features. There are many instrument voices, including a couple of passable "grand piano" ones, and a wide range of percussion voices as well. There is a built-in metronome, and the internal speaker is decent. You can "transpose" the output in half-steps to match a vocal range. There is a "record" function, which will play back recorded passages. The headphones are ok, adjustable size. The stand and seat are of good quality and sturdy. The keyboard bolts onto the stand and is pretty light, so sits pretty steady. Not so good: The keys are not velocity sensitive - striking the key hard gives the same volume as pressing it slowly. The key touch is very light. The "record" feature only plays back each keypress - you can't record and play back a chord. The keys are smaller than standard (but maybe good for small hands). The enclosed manual is only a few pages and covers only a fraction of the features - experimentation will be required to figure out all the buttons. The high end of the volume range is much too loud for headphone use, especially for children. ... show more

My daughter received this piano from her grandparents for Christmas. This has become her favorite hands down, she loves it so much. The only down side is that there is no microphone stand so you just have to lay it down somewhere on the paino, but overall it sounds great and is easy to use.

I bought this for my grandchildren for Christmas. They loved it but when my son went to turn it down it shocked him twice before he got it unplugged. It doesn’t work now. I am thankful it didn’t shock my 2 and 4 year old grandchildren. They were playing it but my son went to turn it down a little and that’s when it happened. I’m very unhappy about this especially because they loved it so much. I paid for this through Amazon but no one will give me my money back or send a replacement. ... show more
