  • One of the most outrageous phaser pedals I've ever seen.
This is a very nice, smooth phase shifter. In fact, it's 2 very nice, smooth phase shifters. You can configure them in all sorts of ways, like in series, or in parallel, or even separated for 2 channel use. And, unlike maybe some other stereo phasers, you can control the two independently.. speeds, sweeps, resonance.. You can drive them both off the same oscillator, like for a stereo setup where you wanted them to run at the same rate. But, what really sets this one apart is the input for a 5VDC control voltage. Note, as others have said, this is NOT for an expression pedal; the phaser does not output a reference voltage for the expression's voltage divider.. it has nothing to divide so nothing happens. I had to get creative a stereo Y adapter that took the TRS and converted it to 2 TS jacks. One side goes into the Phaser, the other to a 5VDC supply (I had to build it) and the TRS side goes to an expression pedal. And it works.. I think I need to adjust the expression pedal, it seems to give all of it's "swell" at the heel end of the pedal travel, and almost nothing else as you go further toward the toe end. Back in the day (circa 197x) I had an Electro-Harmonix Bad Stone phaser pedal.. This works almost like it.. really reminds me of it anyway. The other things this can do though is control the rate of the oscillator; like the expression pedal on a uni-vibe. And you can mix and match.. this oscillator get a constant sweep rate, the other uses the pedal.. parallel, serial, stereo.. there are a lot of sounds hidden in there. A very versatile and well built pedal. Note: I have plenty of the Behringer Rainbow Shell pedals, you know, the plastic ones. I have no problems with those pedals.. they are built very solid. But, if you don't like that, this pedal is housed in steel. Very solid! ... show more

  • The lost sounds of the 70s, at the price of some plugins…
In the 70s, the biphase was a premium yet attainable cascading phase shift pedal. Today, those pedals are very rare and at fifty years old, usually require major repairs or maintenance in order to be usable. But now, Behringer has brought the capability of this pedal into the present day and at a price point that makes it affordable to nearly anyone who wants the rich, full and powerful sounds that this pedal is capable of making. It is basically two phase shifters in one, and you can use either or both. There’s an input for voltage control so these are great for use with synths as well as any other instruments. Just be mindful that if you’re running the output of a synth into the audio input, you’ll need an attenuator, and the behringer direct box has that capability. The sound quality is excellent. I don’t buy all that many pedals, using mostly full size multi effects units, but I have been very happy with this and other Behringer pedals, especially those in this line. ... show more

  • “Behringer” literally translates into ‘Buyer Beware
You take your chance with Behringer, learned that from a very costly mistake with their Eurorack modules. This one works, but the documentation is next to none, as on par. Best to watch some YouTube. It’s cool, an old time sound. Lots of parameters to tweak and route. It’s always certainly a value as they own about every aspect of manufacturing anything musical and they do go to great efforts to make things affordable…but to what cost is always a dangerous mystery. ... show more

  • Great pedal for Keyboard/Synthesizer
I was looking for an effects pedal that brought some juice (modulation) to my Casio Ct-680 keyboard. I also play guitar but bought this to give more modulation to my Casio keyboard and I'm very happy. The sound quality is excellent, the price a bargain and it works very well with other pedals. My old Casio, is now a modern synthesizer. Thank you Behringer for making a great pedal. ... show more

  • Do Not Buy! Buy a Pigtronix Envelope Phaser. I wish I could return but missed window by 3 days :'(
Ah man, I missed the return window by 3 days :( Do not buy this pedal, there are much better pedals you can buy for the same price that do much cooler things, such as a Pigtronix Envelope Phaser. I bought one after getting this crappy pedal from Behringer and I love that pedal! So many sensible options! There's so many super easy things they could've added to this pedal, such as an envelope filter for starters. Would've cost about $2 in parts and made the pedal 1000% times more useful.... but nope. The product manager for this pedal should be fired. This could've been decent, but instead it's crap and I wish I could've returned mine in time. Now I have a $100 paperweight now that I have the pigtronix. ... show more

  • Unbelievable quality and sound!
I am still shocked of the build quality and sound quality. It sounds fantastic. It's huge and it weighs a ton compared to other pedals, but it is faithful to the original - except for the fact it's not hard-wired, of course. Unbelievable pedal for this kind of money.

  • Great Pedal!
This pedal arrived exactly in the time promised and it was well packaged. The pedal is BIG, but it so much on it you need that size. Mine came with a quick start manual which includes a description of the controls and what they do and a getting you started guide. That's enough for me, I don't want to do a lot of reading. Only one thing I could say was a small let down is their is no included power plug. It says in the Quick Start Guide EN on page 7, no 22, DC IN - Use this jack to connect the included DC Power Supply. There was no power supply in the item I received. I still give it 5 starts because it's great! ... show more
