Before I bought this, I read a number of reviews, and they often mentioned that the pictures didn't really give you an idea of how small the items were, but they never went into much detail about the size. I will. You can fry an egg in the skillet. The plates will hold a fried egg, you'll have to put the bacon on top of the egg. The cups hold exactly 8 ounces of liquid each (it would be nice if they had gradient markings on them, but they don't). The small pot will hold one brick of ramen, the large pot will hold two. The metal's a bit thin but is stainless steel. (I worked as a fabricator at a kitchen equipment company and I can tell what's stainless and what's not.) There's no way to fit the cups in the pots, so they have to sit on top of them in the bag if you're carrying the whole thing. Not something I'd take with me if I was going deer hunting and was planning on cooking my deer in the field but if you were going backpacking and wanting to make simple meals, it'll work just fine. ... show more

They shorted me one pot! Make sure you check your order! Other than that, looks very nice, lightweight, that is my initial impression. Will update after I contact company. Update! I contacted the BeGrit Company about my issue. They apologized, told me to keep the set I had and they would send me a COMPLETE replacement set, not just the missing pan! How considerate and conscientious is that! Now, about the pans themselves. I really like them for their intended purpose. I see some complaints about the size from some. But you have to read the description! These are CAMPING type pans. Small, yes, but good for intended purpose. I have already used them inside and outside on my small wood burning camp stove! I heated up some chili, had some Ramon noodles, had some tea and coffee in the cups. I burned my chili a little heating it up, but after a short soak it cleaned right up! Most everything nests together. There's always room for improvement though. Example, the cups if they could somehow be made to fit inside each other like folding/locking handles or something to be a little more compact, that would be nice. However, for the price and quality I have no complaints with this kit or BeGrit! Thanks! Update: 3/23/20 I have been using this kit many times on top of our fire pit. Cooks and cleans up well. So happy I discovered the set fits inside my MSR Alpine Stowaway 1.1L Pot! (This is the partial set that was missing the small pot.) The only thing that doesn't fit inside are the two cups. I got my begrit camp cookset today...06-05-2017... Looks well made and the 2 pots and fryin pan should serve me well. Ill update this review once Ive had a chance to test them out. The cups are 8 ounces each... Gotta wonder why it is that every single or dual person camp cookset Ive ever seen bein sold has 8 ounce cups ??? As if 8 ounces is enough liquid for drinkin per sittin. Most cups you see in restraunts are about 16 ounces... Seems to me that a person out campin would want a cup big enough they dont have to refill right away. Ok...Rant over... I wont be usin the cups in my bug out bag BUT theyll be good for drinkin whiskey out of at home when I dont wanna get super drunk. The plates are about the size of a hamburger bun...Just a tiny bit bigger. I wont be usin them either except at home to eat cake with. The fryin pan will serve as a plate if need be as well as for light duty fryin. The smaller pot looks to be good for boilin water for java or tea. The larger pot will be my main dinner cookin pot. I like the bag you get for storage purposes as I favor well made bags with a double drawstring setup. All in all Id say this is a good set to have for 1 person BUT if theres more than 1 person in your group THEN you may want to get a set for each person OR a different set entirely. ... show more

Everything on this LITTLE cookset is great. In my opinion its for 1 person. Its not to big. In the photo i put my hand next to it as a reference. I saw some comments regarding the way u pack it. You can fit 1 of the 2 cups provided inside the cooking set. Spmebody mentioned putting rubber bands along the top to hold it together. I agree, without the cups it fits together perfectly. With the cup use a rubber band. If your planning on throwing this on a carabene and on a backpack the sack provided isnt going to cut it.its large with nowhere to attach.. I cut a hole in the middle and attached a carabene and threw it on my backpack that did the job.. 1 thing this DOES NOT COME WITH LIDS FOR THE POTS.! honestly there is a cookware set that is about 25 dollars that comes with a great carry case and great products. The pots and pans even have lids and everything fits within itself. THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE COOKWARE SET. If your going camping alone for a couple of days.. ... show more
