I’ve been using this for a couple months. It’s holding up well. No noticeable wear. It closes and opens, although at first it’s a little bit difficult, it does get slightly easier. I wouldn’t want to get any easier because I wouldn’t want it to collapse while I was using it. And I don’t think that’s going to happen. It’s been used as a throw basket for dirty clothes, on occasion, as a bucket, to mop, as an ice bucket, carrying supplies from the bottom of the steps up to the top, soaking clothes and oxy clean, for a basket to draw slips with writing on them out of blindly for a raffle and also to select what games were going to be played and pairing partners in a large group. Wet or dry, same within the stated weight range I find one of these to be in valuable. And top it off, even though they don’t take up much space, when folded to store, on the occasion, when the space just doesn’t permit, I could always hand hang it by its handle on a ceiling, pot rack, or a hook in the pantry. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn’t, and shouldn’t have to have, is a drain at the bottom. There are different types that have drains at the bottom that don’t have handles. These buckets come in a set of two. They are so convenient and can have multiple uses. They can help you transport any smaller items or liquid as well. I have used them for a variety of tasks from packing picnic lunches to hold water for cleaning. They are collapsible so take up very little space when not in use. They can be brought in and out of the collapsible position almost instantly with very little effort. They also come in different colors and are cute as well as very useful. I purchased these buckets to use as our wash line when camping. I like the three colors so I can designate the buckets as wash, sanitize, and rinse. They pack down small which is great when you don't have a lot of space. I have only used them once so far, so I am not sure of their durability. Great buckets for a boat. Store easy, holding up well so far. Do not lean on them to get up unless you need to mop the floor! Did I mention they collapse. Just like advertised.

    • Collapses when filled with water
This is fine if used to carry dry laundry or cleaning stuff but it collapses under the weight of water. It holds its shape if it’s filled only one third full but if you fill it to the brim to do some handwashing, it tilts to one side and the water spills out.

These expandable baskets are so handy. We use them as water buckets to wash the car, as vegetable garden containers to gather veggies, as picnic baskets, transfer ice from fridge to cooler, and so many other things.
