Adjustable height, so I can be used with whatever 3 stick-like things you can find. Works well to supplement my cheap camp stove. Instead of buying a fancy butane/propane burner with the rack and all, I can just hang what I'm cooking or boiling right over a simple burner attachment. I think it's more convenient this way for the sake of being able to use the Coleman style cylinder cannisters that otherwise don't sit very well when you attach the burner, so you don't have to get those dome shaped ones specifically for cooking. I used this last weekend in the desert and it worked perfectly. While being able to find branches would be nice, that's not realistic in the California desert. Instead, I cut 5-foot lengths of 1/2 EMT conduit. All parts of this were plenty strong for my dutch oven and the hanging grill I made with 1/4" stainless mesh.
