This is not a good buy .even for a beginner.not sturdy enough. Foot pedal does not work and the bottom spool keep jamming. They sent two ireturned the other without unpacking it. Go to next level for beginner this not a good buy. Easy to assemble it basically already setup out the box.

We tried using it right out the box for a normal project (dress update). Terrible idea, between a poor quality thread that kept breaking and the needle assembly constantly jamming turned a couple of hours project into a whole day. Still the end result looked really really beginner…my 9 y/o daughter who this was a Christmas gift for, suspects it was a returned item because it was missing a seal and had a demo stitch in the needle assembly. From that she already anticipated for it to malfunction. We plan to purchase a Singer traditional sewing machine with well known confidence.
