I bought this to use on my two standard poodles. They are farm dogs and get overgrown and matted during winter. Regular professional grade grooming clippers weren’t heavy duty enough so I bought these a year ago. They work great and easily cut through the thick poodle hair. I’m extremely careful and don’t use this on all areas of the dogs, just on their torsos. It’s heavy and it gets hot so taking breaks helps. These clippers worked great and were very easy to use and easy to clean! However the user needs training haha, worked great for our first time shearing our alpaca, but she may not appreciate her new look as we need some practice. For an inexpensive set of clippers these worked very well. We did not have a large flock to do but the blades stayed sharp and each sheep was done very quickly. I would definitely recommend.

While using this item only the 4th time in the 10 months I’ve had it, 3 parts simultaneously came detached causing them to fly in back in the direction of my face with the main clipper piece making contact with my eye glasses. If I were not wearing my glasses, this could have been really bad. I’m not sure what caused this, but As you can see in the photo, one of the two “Y” pieces completely broke off and went flying along with the other 2 parts shown. I bought an oster A5 turbo to Shave a matted dog and it would work but it took an hour and it got super hot and really struggled. I bought these and shaved the whole dog in about 10 minutes they did get a little warm and had to let them cool halfway through but worked perfectly and cut through the matted fur like butter. This product stopped working after shearing 5 angora goats. It over heats and the blade wear out quickly. Not sure how others have had success with these but we have struggled from the beginnning. Purchased in NOV 2022.
