I was first impressed that the box was shrink-wrapped. It removed any worries I had that the kit was used. Then within the box, everything was in a box or bag and I could tell it was new. The quality of the items is great! I worried about getting a cheaper kit it would not be great. That is not the case. This set is beautiful, high quality. THIS KIT comes with the instructions and teaches you how to use the pieces. It does not teach you how to paint nails but does go over how long to set the light, how to add the gems, flakes, etc., and how to get them to stay with the correct steps of gel and gems. My sister bought a lower-quality kit that came with more colors. Hers did not have instructions and she was left guessing how to use the light and how long. The base, top coats (shiny and matte), and the sealing gel are bigger bottles since you will use more of those. The colors are a smaller bottle. Overall, this kit is a great price, great quality. As someone who picked up a nail polish for the first time, I have to say it is easier than I imagined to work with. The gel can be wiped off with ease, pushed around before each curing cycle. This set contains pretty much all you need except brush / dotting tools for nail art, if you are also a beginner like me read on. Some notes and tips, do a THIN layer of base coat (I made her thumb look very bulky). Also I got the translucent pink set from Beetles and some nail brush / dotting tools (you NEED those for doing flowers and art, buy from any seller is fine). I found that I mostly used the 7mm brush so that’s the one I recommend to include when purchasing brushes ... show more

I was nervous after reading reviews about pealing and the gel not being worth the buy but I’m very pleased with this product! The white and silver set was the first set I did and it lasted well over a week, I only redid them because my nails grow fast and I felt the gold would match my skin tone better… Nail prep is key to a long lasting set so definitely spend the extra few minutes. I absolutely love how easy this product is to use! I usually do my own dip nails but wanted to try something a little easier and faster, this was perfect!! I have only used it once and have yet to see how easy they are to remove, but so far, I love this product! The quality of the nail color is also great and only required two coats. Only downfall is that the polish bottles are quite small but if you read the description, it tells you that they’re small. The light works in that the gel is cured in the recommended time, however the polish and perhaps the base coat are not high quality. I put on a full gel manicure on a Thursday night and by Saturday morning one finger already had lifting and the entire polish came clear off, base coat and all. I do my own nails often and have gotten many gel manicures over the years so I am aware of how to fully prep natural nails before application. I fixed the one nail which came off same day, and by Sunday night that same nail and another one also came clean off. So I guess the plus is you don't need to soak off because it lifted right off with no extra effort to remove. I am going to buy another quality brand base/top coat and see if that works with this light, and if not, I will be returning. Also to note, the base and top coats did have a weird odor to them, not normal polish smell. The colors that come with this set are pretty so I'm disappointed that I've already had to fix the manicure twice. *UPDATE* I did buy a different higher end brand base and top coat set (gelish), and that worked with these Beetles colors. The color lasted for a week before I noticed any lifting/chipping and even then it was so small that no one else would've noticed it. ... show more

I liked everything about this kit so much that I bought another kit for its pink light and like a dummy thinking it would be just as good and I was wrong so I have bought another 48 watts light that works as good as the beetles kit light. I recommend this kit even if it's just for the light.
