  • Amazing and tiny PC!
Size: SER7 MAX 32G/1T/7840HS
First off, this PC is amazingly small. It includes a bracket to attach it to the back of a monitor (if you have the standard VESA mounting holes, which most do). I also ordered an additional 1TB ssd. The ssd installed very easily by removing the 4 bottom screws. This PC comes preinstalled with Windows 11PRO. I don't have anything negative to say about this PC so far. I have used it for all the usual tasks, office, web browsing, photoshop, cad, and games such as hearthstone, quake III arena, risk of rain, etc... Nothing too intensive but it has run everything great so far. One thing to note, I did have a windows activation warning, however, I emailed support and had a new activation code within 2-3 minutes, crazy fast response. The value proposition for what I do is amazing and the space savings and clutter reduction is a big bonus. ... show more

  • Updated. It's brilliant! If they had more I'd get another one.
UPDATED: I was wrong. when I said "It's a great hobbyists machine, but I think it's some distance from being a work workstation yet". It's a great workstation, after the BIOS update provided by the Beelink support guys (mentioned in the old review) it's been absolutely rock solid. It does anything I throw at it. I'm sure there are games that it can't run and I don't do video editing, but it runs multiple VM's at once (A few on Virtual Box and afew on VMWare Workstation, all at once), it runs GNS3 and multiple notes at once it's not had so much as a slight stutter for anything I've made it do. Once I had the BIOS update it was brilliant! It's brilliant. If there were more I'd buy another one. OLD Review: So far the machine has been very reliable and can run most games that I have without a hitch. That said I don't play a lot of games. I have had the machine switch off once and the support team are helping me through that (We're trying to figure out exactly what happend) and I've been asked to clear the CMOS using a somewhat unusual three step process and then reinstall windows with the CMOS cleared. I have also found that the machine won't boot a virtual machine. It just won't boot the installation media, the VM reaches a certain point and then just stops. The same VM (Oracle VirtualBox) works just fine on other hardware, the same "installation media" (.iso file) works fine on other hardware, just on this little guy VM's seem to be an issue (Which I'm sure I'll work with the support team to get working). So, so far it hasn't been an unbox and use experience, it reminds me a little of the eighties when I got myself an Atari PC and had to get interface cards and whatnot to be able to use various of the functions of the PC. This one seems to have a BIOS package which isn't yet complete. That said, what it does do it does well and it's very snappy. I'd happily use a Mini PC instead of the big rig with raid array and graphics card. ... show more

  • By far the best!
In the past I have purchased Industrial fanless mini pc's because of the robust build quality, built like tanks and last. But recently I was looking for a mini with more IO, most industrial models are lacking in connectivity, Thunderbolt, USB4 (Type-C) etc. I found several reviews for this unit on YouTube. All very positive reviews calling it the best! Not to mention the build quality! All aluminum body for durability and cooling, with fans. Without a doubt the nicest looking PC's as well. Great colors! I could go on and on about the unit but there are a number of reviews on YouTube. I will say that I was so impressed with the built quality, design features and performance of the unit, that I just punched another one. The designers didn't miss anything on this unit, the size is a plus for cooling and the fans, has two M.2 NVME drive slots, DDR5 RAM, HDMI is 2.1, USB 4 (Type-C). Finger print sensor I use each time at startup, functions flawlessly! The rubber feet are a strip, so it doesn't matter if it's an uneven surface. A pull tab to remove the bottom plate, the attention to detail, IO, performance is excellent! Dual 2.5G ethernet is also an important feature, I use both connected in bridged mode. (Win 11 Pro) I watched one review comparing the GTR to another company using the same 7940HS. A smaller, compact "cramped" cheap plastic box. It was unable to match the Beelink performance due to overheating, thermal throttling. I personally like the power supply connector, but some reviews complained about it being proprietary. NOTE: Another important feature. (I found this on the Beelink website) "If you want to use USB4 port (PD3.0 100W) for power supply, please set the TDP to 54W in your BIOS settings and use a PD charger which supports 20V voltage and maximum OCP of 6.32A. Please be sure to connect 120W power adapter to DC port for power supply if you set the TDP to 65W". ... show more
