    • Easy assemble hive frames

These frames are so easy to put together. I do assemble them differently though so they don't fall apart in the beehive or when working the hive. I use wood glue when putting the frame edges together and then instead of using the included nails I have found that using a power staple gun and adding in staples: 2 at the top on each end, 1 at an angle about 45deg at the top on each end, and 1 at the bottom on each end really helps to hold the frame together better, especially when it's full of capped honey or brood! I also recommend adding additional wax, despite these saying they are pre-waxed; the bees have shown that they will still not build on this frame without additional wax added. ... show more

    • Good Quality but NEEDS more wax

The frames went together nicely. I wood glued them and used a pin nailer to put them together. I like the texture of the foundation, it's not sharp like some other brands I have tried. We did not have time to consider recoating the frames with wax, our hive was splitting unexpectedly and we had to get the new boxes out. The description indicated they came already waxed so I thought it would be fine but it has not been. The frames aren't sufficiently coated. I have never had so much wonky, tunneling, or bridge comb. I have had to tear down almost all the new comb on EVERY frame in four boxes because of this. The first week I considered it a fluke but after three weeks of this continued behavior I feel confident it's the foundation. The quality I feel is good but you absolutely have to go the extra step and coat them. ... show more
