The bed was delivered in two separate boxes. We need to open both of them to assemble the bed. Some of the instructions are lacking but we figured it out. It’s very solid and sturdy. Only things I would change would be to add two more slats to the top and the bottom so you aren’t constantly losing stuffed animals or small things down the corners. Some finishing issues: inward and outward directions were not noted for the headboard and footboard pieces and there were some very rough sanded finishes that would snag blankets on the side rails and headboard and footboard. I could have faced them in words have they been marked top bottom left or right. the middle drawer is a little sticky and we tried troubleshooting it but it’s not a dealbreaker. You can comfortably sleep two adults in it without it making horrible, creaking noises like it’s going to fall apart. My kid loves it. ... show more

Just as pictured . Solid, sturdy, no mdf, easy to assemble!! Perfect for empty room, now guest room for two adults, grandchildren… Framed by bookcases and curtained off, this makes a lovely nook! So hard to find non-mdf! So this can be easily painted in the future too. Highly recommended though I’m either paining or switching out the drawer pulls - look very cheap. PS bought two 8” mattresses; I recommend a 10” or deeper for the top. The wood side rises up quite a bit, making sitting on the edge uncomfortable with the 8” mattress. ... show more

    • Great bed, but the wheels should be redesigned.

This bed would be perfect if the wheels were better. They are mounted on very flimsy metal and bend/ break easily. The bed wasn't even put together before this happened. Rolling caster wheels that turn either direction would be much better. The description says up to 9 inch mattress on the trundle, don't do it. It will not work with 9 inch mattress I bought for it. I suggest less than 8, and preferably about 6 or 7 if you want to pull it out easily. 9 definitely won't fit. The wood is solid, no laminate or particle board so it is VERY sturdy if they would invest a dollar or two more in the wheels. It wasn't difficult to put together following the directions, especially considering it has drawers. The drawers are sturdy and work well. The bed is beautiful and a great value for the money. If the wheels were better casters it would definitely be a 5 star rated bed to brag about! ... show more

    • This is like assembling the Eiffel Tower from scratch. Don’t buy if you all the time in the world.

The bed may look good on pictures. It’s very likely you will give up trying to set it up. the only reason I did not return is because Because it was heavy and bulky item to return. And I already taken it upstairs from my front door and thrown away the covers . Too clumsy and very bad instructions . Some lazily written product set up guide . Many steps are left to imagination. And few steps the beds seems to be unstable . You have to believe and proceed forward. It was nightmare setting up this bed. Made it very very Complex. I was finally able to do it . I wish no one has to go through the pain of setting up himself . Just imagine when you have to dissemble it if you have to move to new place . My head is starting to spin thinking about it and the price is quite expensive . The finished bed at the end may be look good but I am not sure about the durability. I hope it works for 5 year at least or more . If it works for 5 years then I will come back and leave a good review. Sellers please make assembly and dissemble of this item easier. Imagine people who have to move 3 times in 2 years . It is a pain for them. Also the smell of the color does not go away for months. We had to keep the bed for month before we could use it. Needed a new bed and did my research and bought this one. It cane early and all the pieces were packaged well. It took a long time to set up but was easy enough. It is sturdy and well made. It looks very good as well. Draws are large and lower bed moves easily. Good support for me and i have back and neck issues. Very high so if buying for children they might need a step. Foot and head boards are high enough to keep pillows on bed and no room for them to fall behind which was a real problem with my other beds. Overall very happy with bed. ... show more

I will not EVER stop raving about this bed. The pictures or description from the listing do not do it any justice. It is absolutely exquisite. The bed comes in two boxes. It is made of real wood, not particle board like I was highly expecting. The pictures made it look like a flat board type wood with a painted type of weathered/distressed look but it is NOT that!!! The finish is absolutely killer!!! It has SO much texture and really gives it a beautiful look that you can't see I'm the listing. I was SOOO surprised by how beautiful each piece was when I was unboxing it. Each piece was flawless. It is very sturdy. Each piece was clearly labeled. Easy assembly. My friend and I went at assembling it, and it only took a couple of hours. It is cheaper than a single twin bed I was looking to buy at Ashley furniture, but the quality of this bed is twice as good, hands down. I loved that the trundle was not on a track, and also featured three nice and spacious drawers. There is enough room between each bed to leave the bed underneath made up without having to strip it of it's comforter and pillow when rolling it back underneath. I was actually so surprised and am so in love with this bed, I actually reached out to the manufacturer to tell them thank you for making this bed!!! I HIGHLY recommend this product!!! ... show more
