Didn't have to wait the full 24-48 hrs to expand. It does carry a smell, but it's fading. I don't care for how easily you sink in (wish it had a more density), but he isn't speaking of pain when he wakes up.

I had to move out of my apartment because of mold. I purchased a queen blow up mattress and a mattress pad. I was so uncomfortable! It was awful! After 48-72 hours of unpacking it. The first night was so comfortable! I sleep like a rock and highly recommend!

The only thing I dislike is trying to keep the two elastic straps under the corners of my bed. I think it’s because my mattress is so deep. It has helped my arthritic back and that was my goal.

I was surprised to see that my mattress pad I originally had was stained from years and years of use. I searched all over to find something that had firmness and while it has gel, it isn't the type that quickly releases. My first night I was so uncomfortable and in so much pain, at 4 am I got up, tore my bed apart and removed it. It was supposed to be soft and felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Was advertised as 3 inches but was just over 2. I would not recommend this to anybody.
