They're soft and fluffy. Not *too* firm, but also not a "sack of air," so they're totally perfect. I was on super duper firm pillows for a while, but after being disappointed they *would not* break in, I decided to give these a try. I ordered 6 of them and they're all consistent. The covers on them are great and soft and they're perfect. I hope they keep their shape for a while, but if not, I'd definitely buy them again. It seemed a little bit like a gamble to buy six pillows all at once, but I'm glad I did and am happy with my purchase. The only caveat is that, of course, they come with the standard pillow tag that I'm almost positive nobody wants in their pillow case rustling around, so I would advise removing the tags with scissors, as to not rip the seams... As that did occur, but was easily stitched back up. They come in packs of 2, rolled up in vacuum-sealed plastic. You just open them and they're ready. They don't need time to "inflate" or anything like that. Not memory foam. Good filling. ... show more

I was skeptical when I opened up the package. The pillow didn't seem full or firm enough. It took a minute to inflate. I was like...hmm. But I trusted the process (lol) and stuffed them in my pillow cases. Let me tell you - THESE ARE THE COMFIEST PILLOWS EVER! Literally just like a hotel pillow. So soft, it feels like lying on a cloud. I now want to update all the pillows in my household. I am sold on these pillows forever and regret taking so long to buy them! I purchased this for my mom who is bedridden. She needed a pillow that would be supportive and firm enough for her back as she props it up behind her during the day, but soft enough to sleep on at night. She LOVES this pillow and is super happy with it! It perfect for her needs. I like the thin added layer of cushion on one side as well. It's not the super soft, squishy type of pillow that shifts into various shapes if that's what you are looking for.
