I bought this product for first my king sized bed in 3 inch, then for a Queen bed but one inch thinner. Both give me a comfortable night of sleep, and cushion my body so that nothing hurts. As I've gotten older I find the foam much better for my joints than even a good mattress can provide. The reason I got a 3 inch and a 2 inch has to do with the height of my bed. The 3 inch went on top of a sleep number mattress and this new 2 inch is over a mattress and box spring that were only a couple of years old. I would recommend both. There was no issue with a bad odor. I did have to put some weights on the middle crease when the topper was opening up because it was not flattening down. I used a narrow box of tin foil and another of parchment paper and whatever other thin boxes I could find to go down the center hump.

I bought this product becasue my husband needed a softer top for our mattress. I chose this product becasue I did not want a foamy eggcrate top as those generally make it very hot. I read the reviews about the smell, and when you first open it, it is a little unpleasant. I laid out the plastic wrap on the guest bed and let the topper sit for the recommended 48 hours and it and my guest bed were fine with no smell. It fits our bed nicely. I do also have a mattress cover and with the cover the topper does not slip at all. It is a little firmer than I expected, so it is not soft, but it is a nice layer of cushion and it provides my husband what he needs to prevent joint pain when he wakes up. It also does not make either of us hot, so that is definately a plus.

I haven't had a good night's sleep like this in years. I love this topper! I've had cervical spinal fusion and reconstruction from breast cancer which involved using my back muscles, so needless to say I'm always uncomfortable. Husband is happy with its comfort, I'm happy with the removable cover (for washing) and the corner 'stay put' straps but husband did say it was hot. i've covered it with a 'stay cool' gel sheet/thingamabob (that i already had) so now he's content with it.

Update: the company reached out, and was very polite and understanding. Why this product does not meet the description I expected. The comany has great customer service, and was happy to help resolve the issue. While I don't recommend this product for someone wanting a firmer bed, I do recommend this company. Knowing you have great customer service and are willing to help their customers, gives you the comfort to try. Recieved this item on June 2nd. Set it before going out of town for the weekend. Almost 3 weeks of use and it started sinking probably a week ago, already. Save your money. I got it to release back pain and it was amazing the first week, but now.... I have to look for something else and what am I going to do with this? Save your money, there is no way I'm getting this back in the box or carring it to a drop off location. They got me, I'm out the money, but you don't have to be.
