Three years ago, I bought a new couch. As soon as I sat on it, I knew it was the right one. It swallowed me in and was very comfortable. Well, it began to get less comfortable as the seat cushion foam began to lose it's strength. I thought about taking the seat cushions to a reupholsterer and imagined an expensive job. So I thought about doing it myself with mattress topper foam ... not the egg crate style but foam that was the same thickness throughout. Lucky for me, the seat cushions had zippers so after taking a look inside, it appeared possible. After unpacking and allowing the mattress topper foam to "rise" for 24 hours, I cut it to the sizes I needed and stuffed it in-between the existing foam sections like a hamburger on a bun. I now have a very comfortable couch again for very little expense. All you need is the right amount and thickness of the foam and a very sharp blade to cut it. This mattress topper is hard and you won’t be able to move. I requested a return per their return policy and their answer was to purchase ANOTHER topper to put on top of this one. If I’m going to buy another topper it’s gonna be one that works for me so WHY would I need 2?? My guess is they don’t want to follow through on their return policy because they didn’t reply to my email and it’s been over 24 hours. Even though it’s only 2 inches thick it’s extremely firm! Very pleased with this product.. Üpdate: I do like this product and even ordered another one, however the second one was for my sleeper sofa and it was obvious that it had been returned, as the packaging was not new and it had been retapped and there were tiny holes in the foam. I enjoy a firm mattress but there was a very uncomfortable spot that met my hip area and I'd have to position myself just right to avoid it. I sleep on my side, and my legs get sore from the weight. This slab of memory foam solved the problem almost completely. The foam returns to its flat shape within a second or two of removing pressure, so I have not had a problem turning over. This is a little cheaper than the competing toppers, some of which appear to be the same product sold under different brand names. Another reviewer is right to say that the splotches of blue look odd. It looks as if something in the manufacturing process makes a blue mess and they just went with it. Who cares? ... show more
