This was put on top of an older (somewhat flattened) 2" memory foam topper. Initially I thought it would be too soft because when I was positioning it, my knees sunk DEEP down into it. But it sprang back up. When laying down, and weight is distributed evenly, it seems to give just the right amount of support. It was easy to open, and cut out of the plastic. It didn't take long to air out, the smell was minimal. I put it on the bed after an hour and covered with a mattress pad. Sleep is MUCH better now. No regrets! ... show more
