Wow! Now this story is intriguing! Aurora was in love with her partner or so she thought and along comes Dante! Dante was in love with Aurora. It's amazing how one passionate night can change lives. Aurora should have come clean as soon as she found out instead of leading Dante on. I am just happy that these two figured out they actually loved each other. Of course, it didn't help that Dante jumped to the wrong conclusion and it took two months for Dante to tell Aurora how he felt. Now these two found their happily ever after and it was nice that Aurora proposed to Dante first. FANTASTIC job Virna! I would recommend this book. Can't wait for next book. ... show more

Although for me, this is actually a stand alone book and not truly a part of the bachelor series, it’s still a good book. The characters are great and the creole flare thrown in here and there are engaging and fun. Good read, good book, good story just not a true bedding the bachelors series book.

Aurora's had a crush on her boss for YEARS. While at a fundraiser, she finally realizes it will never happen between she and Gio as he is in love with Rose. In effort to forget about Gio, she takes Dante up on his offer. Dante, a sexy powerful business man, has been after Aurora for years. Before he gained custody of his sister, he was quite the ladies man. Knowing his reputation and her feelings for Gio, Aurora has always turned him down at every offer. This time, she decides to go for it. Dante has been pining for Aurora since he first met her. He finds her unbelievably sexy and smart, but he's never been able to convince her to go out with him. When she tells him she wants to go home with him, he jumps at the chance. But after a night of passion, he wakes up to find himself alone. He tries reaching out to her even sending her flowers, but she avoids him at all costs. Six weeks later, Aurora discovers she's carrying Dante's baby. Not sure of how to tell him, her mother suggests she get to know him in case things go south and he wants to fight for custody. While getting to know Dante, Aurora discovers she didn't really know him at all. She discovers he's not the ladies man she thought he was. She also sees the "fatherly" side of him as he takes care of his sister. Then he utters the words she never wanted to hear--he doesn't want to have children. Although she's devasted, she understands as Dante's haunted by his own childhood. Dante, on the other hand, has fallen in love with Aurora. He sees her as completing his family. When he walks in on her in an embrace with Gio, he is devasted. He mistakenly thinks she's in love with Gio, so he breaks it off not knowing she's carrying his baby. I LOVED this story. I liked learning about Aurora's creole New Orleans heritage. As a RN, I also enjoyed Virna spotlighting an uncommon disease--Von Willebrand's. So many storylines effectively entwined to make one wonderful story! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own. ... show more

Never judge a book by it's cover, unless you have all the facts. Virna DePaul has a flair for shockingly, humorous entertainment. Bedding the Baby Daddy specializes in scandal, but stays true to life. Emotions run deep, hormones run hot and life does not turn out like a movie. Mistakes are made, hearts are broken, lessons are learned and then we begin again. Aurora and Dante are first hand learners in the surprises of life department. A night of passion forces tough choices and opens eyes to a host of possibilities. A thought provoking batch of wisdom is always waiting to be discovered in the most unexpected of places. Like a sassy, sexy, smartly written romance, perhaps. Just read between the lines. ... show more

Aurora knows what she wants but unfortunately she can’t have it. In walks Dante who she has known for awhile but he doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to women. Dante has been drawn to Aurora for awhile but she doesn’t really see him. Aurora and Dante can’t seem to stay away from each other and then the unthinkable happens. Will they be able to truly see each other to see what is in front of them. I thought this was a really good read. Aurora wants someone who doesn’t really see her and Dante wants Aurora but she doesn’t really see him. I loved both characters. I loved how strong and confident Aurora was and I loved how Dante was there when his sister needed him. I am really enjoying this series and I can’t wait to read more!!! ... show more
