For those of us who saw these movies in the theater as kids, weve seen them likely hundreds of times since on VHS/CRT, DVD, basic streaming, maybe the high seas etc... I watched this on an LG OLED with an Oppo 203 player and surround sound the other day and... Wow... Like really just wow. The fact that the audio is the first thing to go with streaming really hits home with movies like this one as well as the colors and everything else in the picture just hitting me like it did all that time ago in the cinema. It was like I was 10 years old again for a little while. Do yourself a favor and start buying physical media for movies and shows and music you legit care about. The quality is unmatched and you actually own it. And get a good player to do it justice too. ... show more

This 4K version is crisp, clean, has more brilliant colors than ever and we found ourselves instantly immersed in Disney magic from the opening scene to the grand finale. The HDR packs a punch.

    • 'Beauty And The Beast' Is Iconic And A Genuine Classic
Whether you saw this film originally in a movie theater or on DVD, there is very little doubt in most people's minds, Disney created pure magic with 'Beauty and the Beast'. The songs, the animation, the character voices, and the music. Literally everything about the animated film is perfect. The 4K rendition is a wonderful thing to behold. The 4K DVD is reasonably priced, along with many other Disney animated films available on the Amazon website. I will take the animated films over the so-called 'live-action' versions any day of the week. Happy to add this DVD to my home library. ... show more

This is not the IMDB site and I don't know why people are talking about the movie. I will just tell you about the video and audio, supple of the 4K version. 1. Video. It was truely magical. The bluray was good but it is not even comparable to this 4K UHD version. My eyes are almost blided by the light and shadow of the image they transferred. Opend my eyes to the new level. 2. The audion was good. Don't know how good since it's not an action movie. But when it comes to the last fight on the rooftop, it was good. 3. The supple was good too. Some added from bluray disc version. About all I don't feel regret buying this. Comareing to THE MERMAID, this one is way more superior. ... show more

    • Great Quality Update of a Classic
This is one of my favorite Disney films. The sound quality is first rate and the production value of the Blu-Ray is excellent. I do wish there were more audio tracks but there is English and that was my primary request. The extras are forgettable so if you own a high quality copy already you may not need to pick this one up. My primary goal was to have this film in 3D. The 3D is a nice feature although it's clear to me it was a post production implementation. Overall this product delivers. ... show more

This is one of the better stories, based on the old story but made with catchy songs and story line that works well. Disney is sort of going off track with their newer stories and remakes so i'm buying some of these older works in 4K. These will be the collectors items i'm sure if Disney continues to ruin it's classic stories. ... show more
