Easy to step up and to fold and store if you wish. Ours is up year round on our balcony. Attractive, sturdy and comes in very handy for flowers and to set things aside when dining outside. Update a year later: The uncovered rack survived all four seasons on the balcony with no rusting. This week, however, as I was readying the balcony for the season, I discovered that the rack provides a perfect home for wasps! I watched them enter the frame through nail head size holes that I hadn't even noticed before. The uniformly circular holes are on the frame and on the shelves. They are the perfect size for a little wasp body. The wasps enter the hole and then go into the hollow frames of the rack and shelves. I don't know if they wintered over in the rack, but they are now our constant companions on the balcony. A word to the wise: plug up or cover the holes with tape before setting up your rack outside! ... show more

Perfect outdoor baker's rack
After relocating to a house that has a pool and accompanying patio, it became apparent that we would need a shelving unit of some kind that would be functional and appealing to the eye. This unit fit the description for what we needed. It's not too tall or short, or too big or small. Just the right size to set under a covered patio to house things like beach towels, tiki pots (and fuel), and other patio essentials. I keep these items in baskets, making them easily accessible but out of the way. The unit also has rubber inserts (feet). If you are looking for a mid-sized, outdoor unit that is functional and simple yet pretty, this is one to strongly consider. We are very happy with our purchase. (It arrived super quickly, to boot.) P.S. We've had the unit for under a month. Thus, it'll be interesting to see how the unity holds up over time in an outdoor environment, namely do to rust. ... show more

Nice addition to a patio or deck
This rack was just the size I needed to add a little interest to a wall on a patio. It's very sturdy and appears carefully made. There is virtually no assembly, one needs only to open the hinged sides and let the shelves drop into place. The price was pretty reasonable considering I found many items for more than twice the price that were not rated for outside use. I needed to place a small shim on the bottom of one side to level the shelf but this is likely due to the unevenness of the pavers on my patio. Built To Last, Good Space Saver
Love This Product, it is very sturdy and strong, because it is made of iron. I have a small kitchen, and needed something to hold my microwave oven and large convection toaster oven. I came across this bakers rack, after searching the web, and it is perfect for my purpose. It is not bad looking; not too wide, and not too tall. I only wish it came in white.It is quite heavy, so I had to have someone unfold it, and set it up for me. No assembling required. No need to worry about it breaking like the previous one I had. attractive and sturdy
This bakers rack is the perfect size for a spot on our patio. It is very attractive and yet functional. It was so very easy to put together. Just fold out and it is ready. The shelves have slats which is good for plants, water drainage etc. The color is as pictured. Would definitely recommend and just might buy another. ... show more

Great Product; just as expected!
Product is beautiful and very sturdy; nothing to put together, simply unfold the sides and lock into place. The oil rubbed bronze color is great; I did not want one that looked very dark.

Makes a great plant stand!
I love this rack! I am using it for a plant stand for several indoor plants in our sunroom. It is plenty sturdy to hold all my plants and since it is made for the outdoors, I don't worry if water drips on it. The style is exactly what I like: some curves to add interest without being too ornate. Set up was really easy.
